The chalet was clean, spacious, and well-equipped, with a beautiful natural setting close to the main attractions. Both breakfast and dinner were delicious and freshly prepared, making our stay very comfortable. A special mention goes to Mr. Lasantha, who gave us massive support throughout our stay. His warm hospitality, attention to detail, and genuine care made a big difference. Furthermore, he arranges Sri Lankan cooking lessons for foreign guests, which is a wonderful initiative to share our food and culture with the world. What impressed us most is that all of this is offered at an affordable price, and the team works tirelessly 24/7 to give their very best to guests. Overall, Rock Shade Chalet is a perfect place for a peaceful family getaway, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Sigiriya.

To move you need to be picked up (we had our own tuktuk and it was perfect); Sadeepa is a very helpful and gentle person. Room was very clean. Everything looked new (building, AC, bathroom...) as per dec.2024. Breakfast was good.

It was nice time in Sigiriya 🥰 we loved the accommodation and the owner is lovely. The room has enough space, clean and the beds are huge with comfortable mattresses. It is located in a quiet area, the air is so fresh at night time so we sleep without fan. Morning breakfast cooked with love by owner’s wife, always fresh coconut roti, eggs and fresh fruits. Thank u guys. We really enjoy our time at your place.

An incredible place literally in the middle of the jungle. We were charmed by the place, which was surrounded by greenery and tranquility. The rooms were very clean and well maintained. The hosts were extremely kind, warm and hospitable. They sent us off with a rich and very tasty breakfast. We regret that we only stayed for one night and hope to come back again someday.

Our stay was really great thanks to Isanka and his father who were really helpful. We were in sri lanka for the first time and this was our first destination so we didnt really know how to get around and they took us everywhere with their tuktuks, arranged a good massage and a safari and helped us with finding the bus to trincomalee. Honestly can't recommend Sigiriya Lake Paradise enough! Stayed here for 5 nights and it felt like home. The location is stunning literally on a lake with a view of Lion's Rock. Chami and the family are super friendly and helpful, they even came with me on some day trips and made sure I was sorted with everything. And the food Absolutely delicious.If you're heading to Sigiriya, definitely book in here. You won't regret it.

Set amidst a natural landscape, Back of Beyond – Pidurangala offers a peaceful getaway in Sigiriya. The place was special, out in nature, eco friendly. The staff was exceptional, helpful with every request, friendly, considerate. The food delicious.
