We had the most wonderful stay at Tantra Ella Lodge! Angelo is a great host, always helpful, always ready to give some tips about nice restaurants and activities in and around Ella. The room was very nice and had everything we needed, and the view from the balcony was stunning – giant squirrels and hornbills came to see us in the morning amongst the beautiful trees. The hotel itself is very close to the city center, but at the same time the little street where it is located is very peaceful. We would have stayed longer if we could!

Honestly this was the best place we have stayed since we came to Sri Lanka. The most beautiful views, wonderful and kind hosts who offered us fresh fruit juice upon arrival and helped with everything we needed. We were offered free tuk tuk lifts to and from Ella center. The breakfast was delicious. Clean and big room, comfortable bed and very nice mosquito net! There was even a kettle and an iron. I would definitely go back to this place. AMAZING

The breakfast was fantastic! We even packed some food for the rest of the day. The host was lovely and helped us park and get around. Also, she was helpful with the tuk tuks. Definitely a place to come back to.

We absolutely loved it, I dare say it was our best stay in Sri Lanka. The surroundings are absolutely beautiful (especially if you like birds!), the room is comfortable, the balcony is really enjoyable. But most of all: the owner is a wonderful person, who will go above and beyond to help you and make sure you have a great stay. We hiked from there to Ella's Rock, following the train rail at first and it was really amazing. Thank you so much for this stay!!!

This property is simply magical. Although it is a bit of a splurge, it’s definitely worth it. The retreat is super peaceful and the decor is lovely. Breakfast was great. Staff is super friendly. Location is also amazing, within a 5-10min walk from all the restaurants. We definitely recommend staying here!

Featuring a garden and free WiFi, Arana Sri Lanka Eco Lodge and Yoga Center is situated in Ella, 3 km from Demodara Nine Arch Bridge. The views from our balcony were stunning, the sunrise and mountains are breathtaking. The staff are super friendly and helpful, they even prepared an early breakfast for us as we had to check out earlier than usual (my daughter loved the sandwiches they have prepared). Am not sure how does the other rooms look like but try to book the room where the bed is up stairs and has a balcony and a jacuzzi.

Located in Ohiya, surrounded by mountains in the Horton Plains Range, Hill Safari - Tea Estate Villa mainly serves Sri Lankan cuisine. The location is the best of the worse for those who are doing the Pekoe trail. Stage 11-12. It offers a breathe-taking view of the valley below. The owners gave us such great hospitality. The room was clean it gave us a much needed respite from a long day of hiking. If you are taking the pekoe trail, there is a shortcut to the location which is slightly off track. It’s short but intense but could save you 30mins to an hour. I suggest that you take it. Dinner and breakfast was sooooo good. Really nice after a long day of hiking
