The tent was very comfortable and we were not too hot at all. The food was delicious. My favourite was the rice. The chef Jayalath did an amazing job and breakfast too was delicious. Madushan looked after us really well. Always with a smile and happy to help with everything. They arranged the safari for us which was fantastic. Supan our driver was all over it. Safe driver. He spotted things that only a trained eye would. He was friendly and fun. Highly recommend. Jayalath cooked us an amazing packed lunch. Eating outside by the campfire with oil lights was fabulous. We even had a crocodile who liked our left overs. The two dogs onsite were amazing. I really felt they protected the children especially. If they walked somewhere one or both dogs went with them. They slept on our porch at night. We were just charmed.

The staff, ***especially Anne (owner) and Amal, were exceptional,they arranged a safari to Yala Block 6 (just 10 mins away!) where we spotted elephants and leopards. The **food was a highlight**: authentic Sri Lankan curries and Western options, all served in an open-air dining area. Don’t miss the **sunset boat ride on the lake**—pure magic! Clean, spacious rooms and a serene pool sealed our perfect stay. We’ll be back!"

There is a fully equipped shared bathroom with bidet and free toiletries. It’s in the middle of nature, very calm and peaceful with only the sound of birds to hear. The best thing was the family. The hostel owner is super nice and helpful with any kind of little problem or question! I would 100% recommend it, I have rarely experienced such kindness without wanting anything in return! Also his little girl is the cutest!!
