The surroundings are quiet and picturesque – ideal for morning coffee on the terrace or cozy evenings with a glass of vine. The hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming, and everything went smoothly throughout our stay. If you’re looking for peace, nature, and an authentic experience of Montenegro’s mountains – this cabin is a perfect choice! Highly recommended!

The cabin is beautiful with a very well stocked kitchen, great beds, the sauna is amazing and easy to use, and the outside facilities were great too! My kids loved the outside play area, the porch and the chairs were really comfortable. And the fire pit was great! We also loved how close it was to the national park and the little markets, while still feeling private and away from the main parts of towns and busy roads.

Podgorica Airport is 99 km from the property, and the property offers a paid airport shuttle service. I have stayed in Katun Laništa for 3 night in the beginning of May. The Katun is only accessible by walking or 4x4 as it is located in the mountains, but since I had a normal car and a suitcase, the hosts can offer you a ride in their 4x4 jeep to the katun from their house in the village. My stay in Katun Laništa has been wonderful. As it was the start of the season, they were still preparing the Katun but that did not bother me at all. The hosts are super friendly and provide you with everything you need. The food is amazing, and the home grow and home cook everything here. The Katun has a lot of animals (cats, dogs, chickens, cows, horses and pigs) which makes it even more fun to stay here. The Katun is located within fields filled with wildflowers and the mountain views are spectacular! I was really able to calm down here. I spent my time reading in the hammocks, hiking to Biogradsko Jezero and in the woods surrounding the Katun. In short, I would recommend everyone to come here, at least have some food but even better stay a few nights.

We enjoyed the two nights we spent at Tara Riverside. The host family was very nice and caring. They provided us with everything we asked for. They also answered all of our questions about the attractions nearby with a big smile on face. The cottage was suitable for small families with one to two children only. Inside, there is a small refrigerator, a private bathroom, and two shelves full of kitchen equipment. Outside, there is a public place for cooking, and it contains a small electric oven (which I liked the most) to make breakfast, if you like. Be careful of scorpions however, I found two black ones near the oven in the kitchen area.

Such a nice cabin in a lovely nature setting. Dragan was the best host. Very friendly and offered us brandy when we arrived. It was lovely to sit and talk with him. So great to have such an inviting place to stay. Beautiful stars at night. The cabin was a great size and had what we needed to cook. Can’t wait to come back

I am not exaggerating when I say this was the best booking I ever had! Jelena was the perfect host: she was super kind and extremely helpful, even preparing some (delicious) soup for us after we arrived, since we did not have dinner yet. We got a very nice welcome drink and even a cute little souvenir when we left! The accommodation itself has an amazing view over the mountains, you hear the cow bells clinging and it is super scenic. The terrace (both outside and inside for when it cools off in the evening) are located so you can have a lovely view and take it all in. The cabins itself are simple, but have everything you need. The food (the dinner she cooked for a minor additional fee and the breakfast) was delicious and there were plenty of options. Truly a lovely stay. If we could do it again, we would stay much longer than 1 night. Overall I would say we did not expect we would love the place this much, and I would recommend it to everyone!

For added privacy, the accommodation has a private entrance and soundproofing. The accommodation was very cosy and comfortable, and it was overall a charming atmosphere. Even when the outside temperature was really low, it was warm in the house. The hosts were very hospitable, e.g. in terms of organising a heater and providing general information. The location is very close to the train station, and within a 15 min walk, you can get everything you need (ATM, restaurant, supermarkets)
