Surrounded by the Black River Natural Park and the mountains of Chamarel, Lakaz Chamarel Exclusive Lodge offers sweeping ocean views. The lodge is 6 km from La Goulette village. Best view we have ever seen. Staff is friendly and helpful. This place is really exclusive as its name. We also had a fun night with local people dancing and singing, was a great experience.

La Vieille Cheminée is situated on a 200-acre farm in Charamel and is surrounded by two rivers, indigenous trees and forest. It features an outdoor swimming pool, terrace and garden. This was a truly amazing place! We stayed in a smaller cottage (le Percheur) which was perfect for two. The view from the terrace is beautiful. The breakfast was brought to the cottage. We ordered dinner one day and it was waiting for us in the fridge when we got back from our day activities, just for us to heat it up. The surroundings and the little pool are also very nice.

Kristina and Vincent were incredibly warm and welcoming hosts who made us feel right at home. The lodges were beautifully maintained, comfortable, and had all the amenities we needed. The location was perfect, the atmosphere was peaceful, and the attention to detail was remarkable. Their genuine hospitality and passion for what they do truly made our stay unforgettable. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

Imagine waking up early in the morning, grabbing a coffee, be greeted by two lovely dogs coming to say hi, the sound of birds and the distant noise of the waves. You walk for 3 minutes and you arrive on a beautiful beach, most of the time almost empty,. You can use the kayak, the surf board, bodyboard available at the house, whenever you want to go and see the dolphins even if they often come to the shore. Sanjana and Julien are adorable, so are their 2 kids. We got some fresh eggs coming from their adventurous chicken, they were very kind and helpful throughout our stay. There is a barbecue that we used by the beach…We had an incredible stay and we cannot wait to come again ! Tamarin bay is so much better than Flic en Flac and you have great food options nearby when you spend your day at the beach. The house is located in a secured and quiet place, it’s a fantastic option to discover Mauritius by offering a peaceful space to rest.

The location is excellent for discovering all the beaches, be it North or South. The place is quiet, and was spotlessly clean when we arrived. The dogs are super cute too - especially the zfg older one :)

The host was there to welcome us, she was very friendly and very helpful, showed us around. We appreciated her prompt replies whenever we needed some advice. I will definitely recommend this location it is great value for money
