Surrounded by the Black River Natural Park and the mountains of Chamarel, Lakaz Chamarel Exclusive Lodge offers sweeping ocean views. The lodge is 6 km from La Goulette village. Beautiful garden with lots of tropical birds and an opportunity to watch the flying foxes with a drink at the bar. Breathtaking seaview from one of the bars. Perfect service from all staff. Excellent massage, great yoga session, nice food. We had a lovely stay and would love to come again!

La Vieille Cheminée is situated on a 200-acre farm in Charamel and is surrounded by two rivers, indigenous trees and forest. It features an outdoor swimming pool, terrace and garden. We had a wonderful winter surrounded by the natural beauty of Mauritius. The fresh air and the unique atmosphere of the eco-village, along with the cozy lodges, made our stay exceptional. Every evening, we enjoyed barbecues by the fireplace. The hiking and horseback riding experiences for our daughter were also delightful. Both breakfast and dinner provided by the hotel were perfect, thanks to the fresh, high-quality ingredients used.

Location convenience, cleanliness, aesthetics, innovation and sincerity are all here. Since I rented a car, this place was very useful. If you do not plan to rent it, you will have a hard time. This is an accommodation in nature with the sounds of birds, but if you are afraid of ants and small insects, it may not be suitable for you. I don't think they are disturbing at all. What you see in the pictures is the same. The host and her family are a bonus. They are very sincere and caring. Car parking is not a problem, it is right next to the house, in the garden. Safe, suitable for single woman travelers. Supermarkets are 10 minutes away by car. I recommend you to have a delicious breakfast on the terrace, do your shopping (including drinking water) before your arrival. I liked the location of the house very much. You can reach Le Morne beach in half an hour and immerse yourself in the waters. Casela Adventure Park is 15 minutes away, La Vallee des Couleurs Nature Park is 45 minutes away (I recommend zipline), and the activities in Chamarel are half an hour away. You can also find great restaurants by the sea 15-20 minutes away.
