Located in Perhentian Island, 800 metres from Petani Beach, Perhentian Nemo Chalet offers beachfront accommodation and various facilities, such as a private beach area. The chalet features family rooms.

Each unit is equipped with a private bathroom, while some rooms are equipped with a terrace and others also offer a sea view. At the chalet complex, some units are soundproof. This property is right on the beach of the smaller of the two Perhentian Islands (Pulau Perhentian Kecil) and has its own jetty, which is extremely helpful in moving luggage into the resort. Because you reach the Perhentian Islands by water taxi and are let off at a jetty or on the beach, if your hotel is not adjacent to the jetty, you will need to carry your bags across the sand to your hotel. Consider this when packing! Our room was exactly as pictured on the website, with two sets of twin beds side-by-side and a fifth bed in a corner nook. The room was clean, with a bathroom set up in the usual style we've seen in Southeast Asia. Entrance to the rooms are outside, and you climb concrete stairs to reach them. We were on the top (third) tier of the building in a corner room. All rooms look directly out on the ocean and have a shared balcony from which you enter the rooms. The staff was incredibly helpful. There is a small cafe that serves just snacks and soft drinks in the Reception area. Nemo Chalet is by the fishermen's village, so we were immediately immersed in the island culture. By good fortune, we came across a small store connected with the Mentari Save Park Hotel. The store is run by the son and daughter-in-law (Asyraf and Aina) of the hotel owner, and they became the biggest influence on our stay. We didn't have enough Malaysian money for things we wanted to do, so Aina took us to a small shop that is also an authorized BSN Bank, and a very competent woman gave us cash off my ATM card. We preferred to hire a boat rather than join a snorkeling group, and Aina reserved their pink speedboat with several rows of cushioned seats under a roof that shaded us from the sun. The boatman, named Pokjue, spoke English. We spent a lovely day snorkeling around both Perhentian Islands.

Located just a 15-minute walk from the beach, Perhentian Island Cocohut Long Beach Resort offers accommodation in Pulau Perhentian Kecil.

Fine selections of local dishes are offered at Cocohut Long Beach Restaurant. Fresh seafood choices are also available. This place is a gem for this price. Well okay rooms are bit dated but they are super clean, aircon is good and garden around huts is nice. I noticed some people complain its far away from beach and difficult to reach. Truth is that path from main beach is actually 120 m long and max 8% elevation... I guess its too much for someone. overall a great experience
