Talking to them at dinner felt like having dinner with friends. The accommodation is clean and has everything you need (ventilation, big bathroom, free water, hammocks, etc.). The beach in front of the accommodation is breathtaking and good for snorkling. Overall the best place we have been to in Borneo!

The room was clean. It has very beautiful view of half sea, half forest on level 30. The host was responsive, reply quick message made the communication easy. It located in a very good location, easy to get around and very close to the jetty to the islands.

There is a private bathroom with bidet in every unit, along with free toiletries, a hairdryer and slippers. This has become one of my favourite destinations during my trip to Sabah, Borneo. The moment we arrived we were warmly welcomed by the staff and were offered refreshments like tea, fruit and other nice sweets. The room was spacious and beautifully designed and it made me feel at home. I also appreciated that the staff already turned on the AC which made the arrival process even better. The sunrise and sunset were beautiful and wish we could have spent another night if it was up to my travel itinerary. Moreover, we were able to do our laundry here and the staff folded and ironed it without any surcharge, such kindness! The food was very good including both dinner and breakfast, it was like my grandma would have made it. Overall, I would come back here again if I am ever given the opportunity.

Boat cruises and jungle-trekking activities are included in every stay. Jason is a lovely guy and the perfect host. He went above and beyond to cater for his guests. I am a coeliac and Jason really pulled out all the stops to present beautiful meals for me. The location is great and you are right in the heart of the jungle...we had a visit from 2 orangatangs! The visit to kinabatangan river and the last resort boutique hotel was a highlight of my trip to Borneo....very special

The lodge offers a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom with free toiletries, a hairdryer and bidet. For added convenience, the property can provide towels and bed linen for an extra charge. We stayed at this lodge for one night. It's very nice and comfortable lodge especially the room with balcony. It's beyond my expectations. Very clean and tidy room. The toilet is also very clean, shower and heater works properly and great. The view from this lodge is very amazing although mount Kinabalu is not at our side but the view is still very nice and amazing. Overall, Bayu Senja Lodge ( especially the room with balcony ) is very nice, good and comfortable to stay. The management should build more room like this in the future. Once the lodge canteen starts operating, the lodge has become much better place to choose for staying.

Sandakan Airport is 119 km from the property, and the property offers a free airport shuttle service. The accommodation was clean, the bed comfortable, the food delicious and the whole team that looked after us were nice, helpful and attentive. The internet is only in the dining room, but that didn't bother us. The hot water is running, and you can even see wild animals right from the accommodation. And thanks to Mika our guide and Ten Ten, the boat captain, we saw all of Borneo's big five 👍
