Immaculately clean and equipped with every amenity we could need, it felt like a true home away from home. The beautiful decor added a special touch, creating a perfect atmosphere. From the moment we arrived, we were completely wowed. Four nights was simply too short! The location is ideal, with easy access to the beach, town, and museum—everything within walking distance. Simone is an exceptional host, always available to assist and quick to respond to messages. She even surprised us with a thoughtful Christmas gift of German cookies. As we visit Swakop every year, this cottage has now become our new home base.

Stiltz Guest House offers bungalow accommodation built on wooden stilts situated in Swakopmund at the mouth of the Swakop River. The units offer views either of the Atlantic Ocean, the riverbed, sand dunes or of the lagoon. The property was within sight distance of the water, you could hear the surf. The breakfast was great and had a lot of options. The omelets were delicious! It was also in easy walking distance of several great restaurants, the jetty, and the downtown.

This was a 5-star stay. The staff here is absolutely amazing. We ordered breakfasts and dinners, nothing special to say about breakfasts, but the dinners were really delicious.

We also had the privilege to be alone on the this lovely island in the middle of nowhere. All people have been extremely friendly and welcoming. The whole stay was outstanding and there is nothing to complain.

Along the way, we also had time to visit Spitzkoppe. Even before our arrival, I could tell we were in for a special experience: the owner was in touch with us regularly, asking in advance about the group’s meal preferences and helping coordinate our arrival. The property is a truly beautiful oasis, almost like a botanical garden. It features not only a pool and charming bungalows, but also a unique lounge with a balcony overlooking a waterhole, where you can watch wildlife up close. The lodge also has its own beautifully decorated restaurant with delicious food.
