We were on our honeymoon, and they surprised us with a lovely handwritten card in the room — such a thoughtful gesture that shows how much they care about the little details. It was a wonderful experience from start to finish. Don’t miss it! And at night, the sky full of stars is just magical.

Located on a desert reserve between Sesriem and Solitaire, Soft Adventure Camp offers chalet accommodation for nature enthusiasts, just 30 minutes drive away from Namib-Naukluft National Park. Due to low season we were upgraded to Naukluft lodge which is a few hundred meters away from soft camping. Idyllic location in the middle of the desert. Very quiet and peaceful. You can see wild animals wandering around from your balcony. Ground squirrels even come to your balcony and can be hand-fed.Very comfy beds and good meals. Very friendly owners. They even helped us with our car troubles. Overall we had a fantastic stay!

The lodge is very stylish: chain of big rooms surrounding a desert garden decorated with sukulent (cactus) flowers. In the middle of garden there is refreshing pool. Place has restaurant with good food (breakfast, dinner) and the best bakery of 1000 kms around (definitely try famous apple pie). Wifi, hot water, nice staff, etc. all this makes Solitaire worth of visit. Walvis Bay: 3,5 hours, Sesriem: 2 hours (very bad road, but doable).
