With garden views, Okapuka Safari Lodge is set near Windhoek and has a restaurant, a shared lounge, bar, garden, year-round outdoor pool and sun terrace. We’ve stayed for two nights at Okapuka Safari Lodge and it’s just amazing! From the recently renovated lodge perfect to every detail to one of the best staff we’ve come across in Namibia (specially 16, Becky and Casper), you’ll have a blast there! There are several ostriches and warthogs roaming around the lodge which is something a lot more magical than one can think of. Game drives are very comfy and it’s almost guaranteed you’ll get to see the elusive white rhino. Breakfast is great! Honestly, supper was good, but not to the standard of everything else, but it could be just our taste. All in all, Okapuka Safari Lodge is totally worth it! You won’t regret spending some relaxing time there.

Auas Safari Lodge is situated 45 km outside of Windhoek. Guests can explore the wildlife surrounding them on daily game drives, guided hiking trails and bird watching expeditions. Very comfortable room, great dinner and breakfast by the waterhole, excellent staff and friendly guests. Loved the location and game drive. Definitely recommend

Immanuel Wilderness Lodge is located 20 km north of Windhoek. Surrounded by African savannah in a growing suburb of the capital, the lodge offers a garden, outdoor pool and restaurant. Finding a place that immerses you in the untamed wilderness of Namibia is rare, but this experience truly delivered. The atmosphere was unparalleled, capturing the raw beauty of the landscape perfectly. As a delightful bonus, the food was exceptional. A special "thank you" for their invaluable guidance on the route to Sesriem.

I loved everything about my 1-week stay at the River Crossing Lodge! My chalet room was large and the bed was quite comfortable. The bathroom and shower overlooked one of the canyons of the game reserve, and the water pressure and temperature were excellent. The food selections offered for breakfast, lunch, and dinner were excellent, especially the dinners. The dinner meals were perfectly prepared and always delicious! The staff at the lodge were uniformly friendly and 100% professional. They are world class in terms of hospitality service. I suffered a back problem during my stay, on New Year's Day of all days, and they recommended a pharmacy in Windhoek that I could visit to pick up some pain patches and pain relievers. The location is perfect, as it is located about 37 km from Hosea Katako International Airport and you can arrange a shuttle from or to the airport for not too much cost (I hired my own car). It is also located close to downtown Windhoek, making it easy to drive into the city to pick up snacks and supplies if needed. But one of the best things I enjoyed about staying at this lodge is the proximity to the Avis Dam Nature Reserve. I went hiking there nearly everyday, where you have the opportunity to see lots of native birds (lesser flamingos, hamerkop) and other wildlife (baboons, rock hyraxes, various antelope). The River Crossing Lodge is its own game reserve, with game drives and guided walks, but the convenience of the Avis Dam Nature Reserve made it a great destination. I would definitely stay at the River Crossing Lodge again and highly recommend it.

This is a beautiful property outside of Windhoek and a great place to stay if being in the city doesn’t capture your interest. The staff, especially in the restaurant, are wonderful, and the chalets are really beautiful, with comfortable beds, lots of pillows, a spacious shower, and a cool vibe. There are two hikes you can do affording you the chance to see some animals if you are lucky - I saw some giraffe and a herd of wildebeest. Animals can be found on the property too, particularly at night.
