With garden views, Okapuka Safari Lodge is set near Windhoek and has a restaurant, a shared lounge, bar, garden, year-round outdoor pool and sun terrace. The lodge is spacious with a nice terrace outside the restaurant overlooking a pond and grass field with nice bird life and even regular visits by ostrich. The food was good and the staff were all amazing. The room in my bungalow was spacious and beautifully designed. The place has its own wildlife farm and organize 2 hour safaris four times a day - you will see lots of antelope (springbok, sable antelope, impala, oryx) giraffe, zebra, ostrich and even rhinos.

Auas Safari Lodge is situated 45 km outside of Windhoek. Guests can explore the wildlife surrounding them on daily game drives, guided hiking trails and bird watching expeditions. The lodge is within an hours drive from Windhoek, so perfect for a weekend getaway. The staff is extremely accommodating for anything you need. Highly recommend the safari drive, and the spa massage. I could go walking into the reserve, which was brilliant.

Immanuel Wilderness Lodge is located 20 km north of Windhoek. Surrounded by African savannah in a growing suburb of the capital, the lodge offers a garden, outdoor pool and restaurant. A very nice lodge. The room was spacious, with a nice outside seating area. There were mosquito nets available, and food was incredible.

This is a beautiful property outside of Windhoek and a great place to stay if being in the city doesn’t capture your interest. The staff, especially in the restaurant, are wonderful, and the chalets are really beautiful, with comfortable beds, lots of pillows, a spacious shower, and a cool vibe. There are two hikes you can do affording you the chance to see some animals if you are lucky - I saw some giraffe and a herd of wildebeest. Animals can be found on the property too, particularly at night.
