Amir was super kind and welcoming and showed us around the property. He went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. It was raining when we came in and we were really worried we wouldn't be able to see the starts but the clouds ended up going away at 3am so we got a gorgeous view of the stars. The dome was comfortable and had everything that we needed. I highly recommend staying here.

Providing free private parking, the 5-star lodge is 35 km from Cathedral Cove. Everything about the WoodyHanger Lodge exceeded our expectations. Warren and Carol greeted us warmly upon our arrival, delivered delicious breakfasts each morning, restocked our supplied throughout the stay, and provided excellent recommendations. We cannot recommend this enough!

Located in Whangamata, 1.9 km from Whangamata Beach, Amazing Kiwi Lodge provides accommodation with free WiFi, air conditioning and access to a garden with an outdoor swimming pool. The accommodation features a hot tub. A lovely place to stay. Spotlessly clean and very comfortable with a great hostess Clare. She showed us where to go, loaned us spades for Hot Water Beach and was incredibly welcoming. The hot tub and pool were an absolute bonus and we were even provided with beach towels and robes. We also appreciated the fruit, milk and cereal that were left for us. A 10 out of 10 stay for us.

Each cabin is equipped with tea/coffee making facilities, a small refrigerator and a TV. All have private bathrooms. You can prepare a meal in the alfresco shared kitchen/dining area, which is located in the centre of the property. Linen is supplied to all units. Location was good as it was very quiet and had a lot of fresh air in nature.

I felt very comfortable in your accommodation; everything was new and perfectly prepared. The large glass front overlooking the pasture and the mountain range was the most beautiful feature. It’s 5 minutes to Waihi town and to Gold Discovery Center, less than 15 minutes to Karangahake Gorge, to Hauraki Heritage Train, to Waihi Beach, and Bowentown. Hobiton and the route to the Coromandel Peninsula are less than an hour's drive away. Next time I’d stay more days.

Guests at the lodge can enjoy a continental breakfast. Nestled in green hills. Calm surroundings with possibility to see Highland cattle, rabbits, etc. Waking up to Tui birds singing. Clean facilities all around. Great conversations with Max, who is super knowledgeable and can answer most of your questions about NZ and the surrounding area. Delicious breakfast options. Loved the fact that there is no internet reception, just being present in the moment.
