Very clean and comfortable. Two very friendly dogs share the garden with you (super cute). I had an amazing stay and highly recommend the cabin.

This is a fabulous property. It is in the lovely Coromandel rainforest and is so peaceful and quiet. The room was beautiful and very clean. There were plenty of outdoor spaces to sit and relax, and several walking trails along the river. The shared kitchen space was easy to use, never an issue working around other guests. The breakfast was also outstanding, with several delicious homemade items. The extra bonus is use of an open air bath and the spa pool (hot tub)!

The room had a great view out of 3 sides of the bay (about 50 meters away). There are a total of 4 beds (one double) and 3 twin beds in my room) if you're bringing your family. The bed I slept on was very comfortable. The building is relatively close to the main highway and town, but you don't hear any road noise. It's an easy walk to good restaurants and grocery stores. The place has an ocean theme. There's a fully stocked kitchen, so you can make your own food to save on costs. The back deck provides a great place to eat your meals while looking out at the bay. Brad (the owner) learned that I'm a whitewater kayaker, so he immediately offered to lend me his boat to paddle up the mouth of the local river. That was a nice gesture that went above and beyond! It was a beautiful paddle. Since my back surgery, it's been the only thing I've done that doesn't hurt. Thank you!! I'd definitely recommend this place!

I felt very comfortable in your accommodation; everything was new and perfectly prepared. The large glass front overlooking the pasture and the mountain range was the most beautiful feature. It’s 5 minutes to Waihi town and to Gold Discovery Center, less than 15 minutes to Karangahake Gorge, to Hauraki Heritage Train, to Waihi Beach, and Bowentown. Hobiton and the route to the Coromandel Peninsula are less than an hour's drive away. Next time I’d stay more days.

Max is a great host, but it sounds like his boss drives him pretty hard,(he probably needs the structure). Lovely home with comfortable rooms overlooking a beautiful setting. It's a little slice of heaven.
