Sue and David are wonderful attentive and communicative hosts speaking reliable German and French. They made their house our home for 1 night. An amazing breakfast was served in the morning. The heated guest rooms are equipped with a TV that has more than 50 satellite channels and a DVD player. All rooms have a microwave, a fridge and an electric kettle. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. Everything we needed was there and the staff were incredibly friendly and personable. When we arrived the owner was incredibly welcoming and told us places to visit, things to do and where to eat dinner. She was an exceptional host. Would definitely stay again!

Comfortable bed.

The chalet was gorgeous—super cozy and well set up—and the location was amazing, and the owner was lovely and made everything really easy. Already keen to book our next trip!

A recently renovated guest house located in Whanganui, Private Guest Wing - Durie Vale Lodge features a garden. This property offers access to a patio, free private parking and free WiFi. The property is non-smoking and is set 47 km from RNZAF Base Ohakea. 10/10 really doesn’t do this place justice. It’s absolutely perfect in every way. Alan and Lois really have found a slice of paradise. They are also the most wonderful people and fantastic hosts. You will not find better. This guest wing is extremely spacious , clean and comfortable. The beds are like clouds. Alan and Lois go above and beyond to ensure you’ll have everything you need. The breakfast is amazing and we could have chatted all day. Thank you for making our stay so lovely. We’d stay here again in a heartbeat.
