The property is very well kept. There were lots of toys and activities to enjoy. The vegetation on property was beautiful. The view from my room was beautiful. Such a relaxing environment. The common kitchen has all the cooking tools you'd need and is super clean. There are great books to exchange. Minimal bugs.

We loved everything about our stay at Lochmara Lodge. We stayed for two nights with our family and It was a little bit of a splurge, but did not disappoint! The location was stunning, the fact that you got there by water taxi made it remote and uncrowded, and there were plenty of things to do (hike, paddleboard, kayak). Also, the food was delicious and the staff was accommodating and helpful.

Nice motel with direct access from the car to the room. Well equipped to a high standard. Modern, very cozy, warm and beautiful. We loved it very much. The lady in the reception was super polite and nice , suggested to help us with the laundry and with everything.

Communication with Liz was excellent all along the process. Unit was very clean and kitchen utensils and cookware were very cleanl. The heat source for the entire living area is a space heater/faux fireplace in the living room. For the most part, adequate heat was distributed. However, it might be good during colder months to have a separate space heater in the bedroom. Also, I should have read the property description a bit closer in that there is a washer but no dryer. We did resort to hanging wash on the line outside to dry and made it through okay!

It was beautifully appointed and had all that we needed. Despite being in the middle of Blenheim, it was quite private. It was a wonderful stay in a beautiful area.

Aldan Lodge offers self-contained accommodation just 4 minutes’ walk from the Picton waterfront and 8 minutes’ walk from Picton Railway Station. Super comfy beds with nice bedsheets. Perfect location. The staff was super friendly. Very clean and tidy. Would recommend 👌
