This lodge is just amazing! The rooms are very comfortable, the owners are very kind, the facilities are of high quality (over 300 DVDs, an arcade video game from the 90's, books and games), and the breakfast is excellent! Very well located also if you want to take a cruise from Kaiteriteri to hike in Abel Tasman National Park.

We loved our stay at Ratatnui Lodge - the staff was so accommodating to anything and everything we needed. The rooms were very comfortable; outdoor jacuzzi (needed to be cleaned but still nice) and pool area were a great bonus. Included breakfast was amazing and I had the delicious blueberry pancakes both days. Dinner and Bar/Drinks were also exceptional. Location is great for exploring the north and west side of Abel Tasman. We planned to take a water taxi to the east side but the road was closed to due slips (not a problem we did that on our way out from the east side of the park). Room included basics such as tea and coffee - robes included for relaxing. Truly this was one of our favorite places we stayed. Staff helped us coordinate our activities and when we had to cancel one due to the road being out they made sure we got our refund. Amazing stay!!!

We loved the atmosphere, the secluded location, the property is simple and built with good quality and taste. The owner Mark is caring and friendly, gave some good advice on the house and any local subject. It is a comfortable place to settle, relax. We finally felt at home after two months traveling abroad with our children.

The house was self-contained, toaster, oven, cook-top, electric jug, lots of bench space and washing area,so we did our own breakfast daily & any other meals. There were many choices of tea bags, coffee, sugar. Good size fridge. Lots of amenities & tools for cooking ! Flowers on table!! The lounge was comfortable and relaxing, no TV but it is a retreat! large windows & beautiful covered verandah with amazing views, sunny, light! Bedroom lovely, comfortable, all linen! good size, windows and views! Lots of storage.Bathroom, clean, well lit, towel warmer, hot water, shampoos etc! Washing machine and drier and outdoor area to do this. Beautiful gardens all around with a small retreat hidden next to house for healing & meditation. Plenty of car space and a windy, short drive up the hill to the house! The stay was peaceful, quiet, private & totally worth the stay! There was a storm one night and wild winds and lashing rain!!! Added to the stay!
