A balcony with lake views is offered in each unit. Judith, Josue and their beautiful boy Thiago were absolutely amazing!!!! This was the best stay after a huge bus ride. We were so relaxed watching the sunset cuddled up with a blanket. We were provided with the most incredible food - especially the fried trout and soup Judith prepared. Josue took us on a tour around Uros and also took my partner fishing!!! It was just so great. We didn’t want to leave. We also jumped in the lake which was beautiful and clear. A unique and special stay we will remember forever.

The room was comfortable and clean and they went out of the way to make sure we were warm and cozy…heater in the room, hot water for tea, hot water bottles to warm the beds, and tons of blankets. They transported us wherever we needed to go and made arrangements for our tour to Taquile. The food was yummy and the bed was comfortable. We even had a shower with hot water! I would highly recommend them for a stay on Uros!

First off, what a magical experience this stay was from the people to the views to the room! Walter and his family really made this stay so special, they are the kindest people ever! From the moment we arrived they treated us with such care and love, Walter’s dad picked us up and dropped us off at the port, Walter took us on a private tour of the Uros Island in the traditional boats, his mom cooked the most wholesome dinner and breakfast for us, his mom also showed us her handmade artesiana, which were all so beautiful and we were able to purchase some to take a piece of them home and support this wonderful family. They made sure we were comfortable at all times, the room was spacious, had a heater for the nighttime, since it gets cold, plenty of blankets, hot showers, spectacular views, what else can you ask for?! They talked to us about their rich culture, which was impressive and it was a gift that they allowed us to take a peak into their everyday life as foreigners were not allowed back then in the Uros. I can not recommend this stay enough!! My husband and I left with our hearts full and a memory we will cherish for a lifetime! THANK YOU Walter, Maria, Sabino and Elena! Mucho amor y bendiciones!

Staying at Amalia Titicaca Lodge with Juan and his wonderful family was one of the highlights of our entire trip to Peru. This is not just a place to stay—it’s a truly unforgettable experience that you simply should not miss. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with such warmth and kindness. Juan and his family took care of us as if we were their own. When we struggled with the altitude on our first day, they immediately made us feel comfortable, preparing special teas and even giving us hot water bottles for the night. The altitude sickness disappeared overnight, thanks to their care! Juan took us out on a fantastic boat tour of Lake Titicaca, sharing his knowledge and the beauty of the lake with us. In the evening, he cooked us an incredible supper—fresh and delicious. Breakfast the next morning was the same. Everything about our stay was authentic, peaceful, and filled with small, thoughtful touches. But what truly sets this place apart is Juan’s generosity and dedication. Halfway to Cusco, I realized I had left my laptop behind at the lodge—a total panic moment! Juan went above and beyond to make sure I got it back before leaving Cusco, personally organizing for it to be delivered by bus so I wouldn’t have to pay $200 for a private shuttle. I am eternally grateful for his kindness and effort! The property is 7 km from the city centre, and right in front of Titicaca lake. Eddy, his dad and mom Salome were incredibly sweet. If you're looking for an authentic stay on Lake Titicaca, look no further! They made us a generous dinner when we arrived, gave us hot water bottles to stay warm during the night (we were impressed by our room, great view and plenty of space), breakfast the next morning, and Eddy kindly took us for a little boat tour around the area before our Taquille excursion, and even showed us his new kittens!!! They also kept our luggage for us after we checked out, and both taxis from our bus in Puno to take us to the dock were very punctual.
