The area is being modernized, but many of the locals only speak Romanian. Fabian however is fluent in english (and perhaps other languages) and is always willing to help translate. He even relayed my dinner orders to a local restaurant, so when I arrived the food was already made and the transaction was easy and smooth. Overall my stay at Tiarra mountain lodge was a wonderful experience and a highlight of my time in Romania.

We had a wonderful stay at Nort Inn, the area is very peaceful and the Inn is new, modern and very clean. The staff are super friendly and nice and they helped me get back an item I lost. There is a breakfast option which was very tasty, with fresh bread right out of the oven! I recommend this place 100%!
