The owner and manager Fabian is amazing. He loves the property and is extremely knowledgeable about the surrounding area. If your are looking to just relax thst is great but if your want to explore the area he knows all the great locations and trails. The area is being modernized, but many of the locals only speak Romanian. Fabian however is fluent in english (and perhaps other languages) and is always willing to help translate. He even relayed my dinner orders to a local restaurant, so when I arrived the food was already made and the transaction was easy and smooth. Overall my stay at Tiarra mountain lodge was a wonderful experience and a highlight of my time in Romania.

The chalet has family rooms. Amazing location, fairytale stay with snow falling out the window that backs into a forest full of pine trees. Such an excellent spot for a family with 2 small children, but would suit any age family. Host was so nice and went above and beyond to make pur stay unforgettable (like provide gloves and toys for our children) .

We had an amazing trip, the entire area is beautiful, but the accomodation made the trip that much better. The bungalow is nicely furnished, very clean and we loved the atmosphere, the views and the small terrace and barbecue. The owner is extremely friendly and they have a really good info leaflet at the property.
