Surrounded by nature and the occasional sounds of wildlife, Khaosok Riverside Cottages offers wooden accommodation, steps away from a calm river. Free WiFi is provided in the shared lounge. Staying at riverside cottages was a really cool experience. The accommodation is right in the jungle so it’s good to keep in mind that you will be surrounded by wildlife and insects. This was something I was nervous about but when you just accept that it’s the jungle you really get the most out of it. The room was super comfortable, had everything we needed. The bed was comfy, mosquitoes nets were good quality, bathroom was perfect. The balcony’s are really cool because if you’re sitting on them you are in the jungle and can hear all the jungle noises. Yes there were geckos and insects in our room but it’s expected and you are protected by the net when you’re sleeping. There was no AC but we found it fine, we were here in May when there was a bit of rain so this might have helped but it was manageable. The restaurant is lovely on site, does everything you need. We went to the local town for dinner one night and there are lots of options available. You can get to the town by the free shuttle bus that runs every three hours or can ask for alternative times for a small charge. We did a night time canoe tour and the overnight lake stay through the hotel and they were brilliant. The overnight lake tour was more than we could have ever expected - this is a must do if you’re visiting. Recommend booking through the hotel to ensure you get a good experience. If you’re looking for a jungle experience this is definitely a great option!

Monkey Mansion - Jungalows & Tours is located 900 metres from Khao Sok National Park. It features a private garden with plenty of plants. Mountain views can be enjoyed from the terrace. This was definitely the best accomodation during our three week trip in Thailand. The location is amazing, as well as the environment and the view from our terrace. The staff was super friendly and helpful, our kids got lots of attention :) The food at the restaurant was delicious and inexpensive. They have even baked a delicious baby-friendly cake for our daughter's birthday! We have also particularly enjoyed a half day jungle hike from the tours we have purchased. Would definitely recommend Monkey mansion for our friends and fellow travelers.

A strong 10/10 for me with this price. You have all the minimum to stay and be confortable (kettle, cuttlery, a few drawers, a minifridge, a ventilator, a mosquito net, even stuff like a broom to clean your room if you need to). Big and confortable bed, clean and big bathroom, calm and pretty garden, nice bird noises and very comfortable even on rainy days. The owner was extremely kind and attentive, offered new clean towels, brought toilet paper and even emptied our outside trash when we were away. We rented a scooter here and it is good and honest price (it's a must with this location). Basically every negative comment that you could read was taken care of during our stay. In the end, it was better than expected for us. We ended up extending.

Got picked up from the port waiting for me as I arrived out of pure kindness not for money, the bungalow was incredibly clean and well maintained, the hammock was great, you can rent a scooter with them for the going rate, beautiful gardens and perfect location! I absolutely LOVED my time in koh yao noi thanks to this place. I got beautiful breakfast each day and they catered for me being vegan too, mango sticky rice, mango and banana cut up, toast and jam fresh orange sooo tasty, they are a lovely family!! I will never forget my time here.

I was worried that I was going to feel too removed from the main area of the island, but having explored it pretty extensively I felt this was EXACTLY the right place to stay on the island. The staff is so amazing and friendly and the food is good and the location is perfect. This is exactly where you should stay on Koh muk!
