Located on a 15-acre operational farm, Tanzanice Farm Lodge offers accommodation within 4 km of the town of Karatu. The Lodoare Gate into the Ngorongoro Conservation Area is 12 km from the property. We had a fantastic experience at this beautiful Farm Lodge. The hosts were incredibly friendly and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The vegetarian dinner was outstanding – one of the best we’ve ever had! Breakfast was also delicious and offered a great variety. The rooms were lovely, clean, and comfortable. Overall, it was a perfect stay.

Well what can I say, Elephant Lodge is fantastic. It is actually nicer than the pictures, even though the pictures are pretty spectacular. The location is brilliant - it is a few minutes drive from the entrance to Tarangire National Park. You do have to pay a fee for staying in the conservation area but that is a Government fee, not a hotel fee, and it's not a prohibitive cost. The accommodation was beautiful with a lovely rooftop terrace. The food was delicious and really well presented. The gym has everything you would need for a workout and the swimming pool was gorgeous. The Manager is a big hearted, funny and charming chap with an interest in conservation and luxury tourism and one foot firmly in both camps, and he does a great job of combining both. He is very present in order to ensure guests have the best experience. His team of staff are exceptional. Guests are allocated one main person to look after them and it works really well (Lillian was our person - and she was so lovely, cheerful, accommodating attentive without being intrusive.) The watering hole is right next main area of the accommodation and is frequently visited by elephants and other animals (as the name suggests). All of our party loved it and would go back in a heartbeat. It made a fantastic trip extra special. Thank you for the memories, we will never forget it.

The staff is SUPER attentive to all your needs and requests. The food is fantastic!!! We were shocked by the quality of service and food. The monkeys are very cute too (if you’re lucky enough to spot them)

We loved the big room and comfy beds Sitting out on the pourch was wonderful. They kept up all suppies in room and gave us a hot water bottle to heat the bed up. The fireplace was a nice touch. Pool excellent and property clean and beautiful. Easy to get picked up for safari. Dinner was nice and excellent.

Spacious and great location to visit the Crater. Ambience was good. Rooms modestly furnished but functional . And the staff was exceptional both the manager and the ladies employed there.
