Fire pit was a splendid idea for an evevning activity - you can buy mores kit at the reception and enjoy roasting it. Located in Lake Placid, The Whiteface Lodge is 2.4 km from Lake Placid and is 2.2 km from Mirror Lake. A gorgeous, huge log hunting lodge with very large, well appointed rooms that are comfortable, rustic yet luxurious. The staff are all so friendly, welcoming and genuinely happy to see their guests and make their visit as comfortable as possible. The whole staff is phenomenal. The food is excellent, and we loved the daily hot chocolate and snores, as well as the chocolate chip cookies left in our room by housekeeping.

The treehouses are absolutely stunning on the most beautiful property. The treehouses are tucked away in the trees and you can take a walk on a trail through the property. The treehouses themselves are so beautifully crafted and cozy. We stayed while there was a snow and ice storm over the weekend. Jeremy made sure that we were ok, iced the walkways, clean off our car, and even helped pull our car out of the ice to get home. Him and his family were so incredibly kind to us, which made the experience all the more special. Honestly, this is the best place I’ve ever stayed and I just felt so lucky to be there. It’s such a magical experience and we can’t wait to go back!
