The view was amazing and the tents were really large and comfortable. Equipment for cooking and braai were all there. It was just an overall great experience to stay at an accommodation like this.

It is a very nice place not far from Addo Elephant National Park. We had a great stay—spacious accommodation with plenty of room, multiple bathrooms, and a fully equipped kitchen. There is a large terrace and a small pool, which was a real hit with the children. There is also excellent birdlife: at night you can hear Fiery-necked Nightjars and see Water Thick-knees, and during the day many birds visit the garden. You can order dinner and/or breakfast, which is very convenient, as the area is quite isolated.

The two hosts made us feel like old family members from far away from the first moment on. The tents are wonderful and sitting on the terrace watching the wild giraffes and other wildlife was hands down under the top 5 travel experiences we experienced in our lifes. I highly recommend going there also with children and to show them the wildlife of SA with a huge variety of animals. The Braai in the evening is another highlight featuring the best products like organic butter or meat. Do yourself a favor and don’t rush it. We stayed for 4 nights and could easily have stayed longer as you really experience the pleasure of a spot where time stands still. Thank you for having us. We will for sure come back ❤️

It is a very special place, far from everything, incredibly calm and peaceful. Having zebras, ostriches and antelopes roaming around the property makes the experience even more unique. The hosts are very kind and helped us with recommendations and booking a nearby safari. We had dinner there one night and it was delicious, as was the breakfast. We couldn’t recommend it more!

Located in Addo, Charihandra Game Lodge features free WiFi throughout, air conditioning and private parking is available on-site. Guests can enjoy swimming at the outdoor pool. The staff was wonderful. From the check-in experience to the restaurant, everyone was really helpful. The food (breakfast and dinner) was great. We loved the game drive on the property.

Lovely estate with great views! Loved to spend some time on the terrace having dinner or a glass of wine overlooking the sunset at the river. The restaurant is very lovely and open Wednesday to Sunday. The location is just a short drive away from the main gate to Addo Elephant National Park. We enjoyed our stay and can definitely recommend staying there!

River Bend Lodge is a truly special place. We were warmly welcomed by Chris (manager) and John (our ranger) and Rachel wo guided us around the property and to our suites. Throughout our stay we were genuinely pampered by an incredibly friendly, smiling team who made everything feel effortless and personal. Zuzu cooked with all her heart the dinner. Chris was discretely present and very alert of our well-being. The lodge is beautifully set in the bush, offering remarkable privacy, space, and tranquility. The suites are generously spaced, ensuring a deep sense of exclusivity and calm. We lived the outdoor shower! You really feel as if the bush belongs to you alone. The safaris are exceptionally interesting and engaging, made unforgettable by our private guide, John. Having him on five game drives was such a huge privilege. The bush is clearly his home. His knowledge is so vast, his storytelling captivating, and his passion infectious. Every drive felt personal, educational, and so entertaining, never rushed and never routine. Our expectation had by far been exceeded and we will keep memories for ever of these tours and wild animals, and of John. We highly recommend the River Bend Lodge to anyone seeking an intimate, high-quality safari experience with outstanding guiding and a true sense of place.

Offering panoramic views of the Zuurberg Mountain Range, Camp Figtree by The Oyster Collection features a variety of game drives, safaris and game walks. We stayed in 3 of the four tents which were beautifully furnished with everything one could need. The views and the gardens and the giant Figtree are spectacular. The rooms are hot during the day because the doors much be kept closed if you’re not in your tent due to the naughty monkeys and baboons! The food and service were outstanding. Cia, our guide for our safari into Addo Elephant Park was fantastic, fun and incredibly knowledgeable - worth the price for sure. Breakfast is included in the price - all other meals not but reasonable. The pool is spotlessly clean and chilly - a nice cool off after a game drive. Definitely want to come back with my family one day.

From start to finish, we had an amazing time filled with exciting activities organized in collaboration with Crisscross Adventures. Ivy and the rest of the staff were incredibly friendly, always making us laugh and going out of their way to accommodate our requests, which truly elevated our experience. The rooms were spotless and well-maintained, with comfortable beds that ensured a great night’s sleep. Each room was equipped with air conditioning, making it perfect for relaxing after a day of activities. We especially loved the outside area, which offered stunning views of the beautiful garden and farm—a perfect spot to unwind. The breakfasts were well-organized and delicious, while the dinners were nothing short of divine. The campfire evenings and the refreshing swimming pool added a magical touch, making our stay unforgettable. If you're planning a visit to Addo, look no further than Chrislin.
