Zur Alten Mine is situated 5 km outside of Graskop. Guests can walk around the dam in the gardens or hike up to the old mine.

The tastefully decorated chalets are fully equipped and some of them offer views. Each unit comes with a private bathroom with a shower and a hairdryer. Beautiful place. Unfortunately we stayed only 2 nights, we couldn't see the whole property, but we would like to come back. The accommodation is well arranged and cosy with a fire place perfect in the winter. Don't miss the breakfast, it's delicious with many local and homemade products.

From the incredible views, top class breakfast and dinner prepared by the chef, beautiful room (we were given the family room upgrade- spectacular!) and most of all kindness of the Hosts Martie and Ben who were so lovely and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. The pool is really nice, sunset views from the water and the surrounding area is great. It has a sunrise viewing area just a few mins walk and then a great walking trail right from the lodge (about an hour walk). Thank you to Martie, Ben, chef and all the team - this lodge is stunning!

The looks are amazing, the view is even more stunning and the bed is extremely comfortable. We were sad that we didn’t have the time to stay longer and will definitely come back. Also the host was amazing and even offerted to use the canoes.
