Really love this place! Very peaceful & great nature views. The staff is incredibly helpful as well, faced some issues with my car rental & they help me resolved it so quickly. 10/10 would recommend!

Kanayama-san is a fantastic host who raised the bar high for guesthouses, I very much enjoyed my stay at 旅人の宿人. I came to 宿人 during winter, and the sighting around the house was magnificent. The Japanese-style room and its futon were great, even during the very cold night of Hokkaido's winter. It's a true rural experience and I'm sure it's also a perfect stay for summer.

The staff were absolutely incredible; we had to have our bags shipped down to Osaka due to smaller stops in Tokyo and Mt Fuji (too short to be able to guarantee the bags would arrive on time) which is a crazy distance. The ladies at the Information Centre were able to explain the process for this and even drew us a map to get to the shuttle bus to the train station and encouraged us to take a jacket and do a practice walk the night before. The tour we booked was also fantastic, and the food and local beer was great too. The room was incredible; it was so affordable for the space you're given and relaxing in the onsen overlooking the ballpark was an unforgettable experience, they even have snacks and a bar! Everyone we came across was so lovely, even other people staying were interested to hear about our trip as it's not a common place to find foreigners.

Wonderful place to stay very comfortable and all services. Owner was very friendly, he prepared the house to us, removed the snow and put heater. Incredibly kitchen full equipped. And all house extremely clean.
