Oooh this was extraordinary experience indeed. Everything was perfect specially the recipcienist niveen. Oh god me and my friend can't thank her enough, truly for all the arrangements she helped us with and all were on point with a price that shocked everyone who asked us about later 😁 The hotel location is more than perfect, it's close to all interesting areas yet its far from all the noise. It's unique in its own way with very calming and cool design. The service at the restaurant were also great, at the morning the breakfast has three main dishes with huge portions and all taste great. The evening service also were great where we had few drinks. Definitely my choice of hotels at Shkoder, one to count on 👍

I always look the the reviews when looking at where to stay, and am never exactly sure what to think about a newish hotel that has a really high rating. But The Roots more than lived up the rating that they have. I loved everything about my stay. Originally I booked for 2 nights, but enjoyed Shkoder so much that I extended for another night, and didn’t think twice about staying put at The Roots. When first dropped off in the street were the hotel is located it felt a bit quite and out of the way, but I soon discovered that it is only a 3 minute stroll to the pedonale which actually makes it super central and yet away from noise and traffic. The room was excellent. All of the hotel was located on the 1 floor. As the hotel is quite recent, all of the fixtures and furniture were fresh and clean. The room was quite spacious with more than enough room to move around the bed and baggage with ease. The bed was delightfully comfortable; the perfect mix of support with softness. There was a small terrace/ balcony off each room which I didn’t utilize as it was quite cold, but can imagine it would be a nice place to sit in warmer weather and enjoy a quiet drink. The staff were super helpful; Badr was very friendly and gave excellent advice and help in getting me on a day trip to Koman Lake and Shala River (tip- if you go to either of these places and it is cool in Shkoder, it will be really cold on the river- bring warm clothes for the boat!), as well as helping with taxis, local knowledge and plans for further travel. I loved Shkoder and I hope to return someday. And if I do it will be a no-brainer that I will book a room at The Roots.
