Kruje is charming and small. You don't need more than half a day to walk through bazaar and explore the castle views and museums. Krujë is a lovely spot with both cultural and visual appeal. One day is sufficient to see what there is to experience. I stayed an extra day because I had work to do online. Be warned, this is a mountain down so you will be doing a lot of up and downhill walking. Reconsider if you have mobility issues.Guest review byAnonymous - 8.0
Lovely and clean place.
Lovely and clean place. Though quite small, there's plenty to explore - picturesque Bazaar under the castle with loads of lovely souvenirs where everyone is sure to find something to their taste and budget. Pretty restaurants and places of accommodation. Small shops but well stocked with things you might need. Shop owners and people working in restaurants speak decent English and the menus are available in both Albanian and English. The grounds of Krujë Castle don't seem to be large but there's a lot to explore and admire. You can walk among the romantic ruins, relax and enjoy the vista. If you venture out in the countryside, you can walk in olive groves among grazing sheep, goats and cows and if you are lucky, you can meet a local riding a donkey. If you love hiking, there's Krujë mountain. The best thing about Krujë is undoubtedly its location with stunning views - and that was what we loved the most about the place!Guest review byZuzanaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

I love the peaceful layout of the castle area and recommend the Ethnographic museum showing the way people lived from medieval times. The hiking trail up Kruje mountain was steep but there was a good zigzag track, and spectacular views. There is an interesting site at the top with lighted caves and a shrine to a Bektashi hero. This can also be reached by car along the mountain road. Our room was huge and very comfortable. The bathroom was big and with a jacuzzi. The view from our room, facing the castle was good both at night and during the day. The parking garage is large and can accommodate a lot of cars without a problem. The terrace, with the pool, is nice and we enjoyed a good outdoor drink at night from the bar.
