Theth is breathtaking!
Theth is breathtaking! At times I compared it to Switzerland. Other times to Nepal. The mountains are dramatic and the village, although bursting and bustling with tourists and hotels and restaurants - still maintains an authentic feel. The road to Theth is quite an experience with many switchbacks up and down and with traffic coming at you- you need a stomach of iron, but it’s so worth it to arrive on this gem of a valley. The road in the village is not paved so drive slowly. We had a fantastic dinner at villa Gjecaj restaurant- beautiful setting, peaceful and amazing food. Lots of hiking options. Theth is a little town surrounded by beautiful mountains. It has a few good restaurants, several good hiking options, things of historic and cultural interest and good swimming spots. Theth is a small village, and during our visit, many buildings had been demolished, which took away some of its charm. It felt less picturesque than expected. The hike between Theth and Valbona is beautiful but requires quite a bit of logistics. Theth was incredible.
Theth was incredible. It's high up in the Albanian Alps and is just breathtaking in its beauty . It's quite an experience driving up there with the narrow roads and switchbacks. There are plenty of opportunities to experience incredible food and views of the Albanian Alps. For the active and the adventurous, there is zip lining, hiking to the "Blue Eye", Grunas waterfall, and Valbona Pass, or you can just relax and enjoying the incredible view.Guest review byAnonymousUnited States - 10.0
Very beautiful, and very refreshing.
Very beautiful, and very refreshing. There were several places great for hiking, but even for non-hikers like us, Theth is still an amazing place to visit. It offers a much needed break from the greyish, dusty city life.Guest review byAnonymous
