We were so happy to find such a great place! It is just perfect for Salzburg visit. Rooms are good enough, large bathroom. Bus 21 to Salzburg every 15 min to the center! We even got free tickets at the reception. Breakfast is fresh, tasty and all in good quality. We could leave our luggages at the reception after check out. What I would recommend to the other guests with kids traveling with big luggage - there is not the lift and is better to pack 1 small luggage just for this stay, than to carry heavy big one to the 4th floor.

The hotel is new, and it shows everywhere from the restaurant and bar downstairs to the hallways leading to the rooms and the rooms and suits everything smells and feels new and crisp. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful with any requests we made, so the level of customer service and hospitality is at par with a hotel of this rating. Also, kudos to the cleaning staff who did an amazing good of turning the room back to its neat original condition every day and the level of detail in doing their job. The location is very central 10 min walk to the commercial district with all the shops and cafes and museums. The suite we stayed at was clean, spacious, with a mini bar and fridge full of complementary goodies. The bathroom had all the amenities you would expect. The breakfast was really good with a good selection of cold spreads, salads, yogourts, breads, and an egg station for your favourite egg style with an extensive bar for drinks including fresh juieces and champagne for those who would like to start the day on a higher note :)

A very old historic building of the 14thC. Neat and spacious common areas, good sized bedrooms; down feather amenities; logo slippers, gowns, and ten out of ten heating; very clean spa. Linen change as you wished and towels daily. Breakfast: it was above and beyond with fresh produce and a full basket of local dishes, Austrian hams and cheeses, scrambled eggs, fluffy viennese croissants, vegan & vegetarian diets, breads, desserts etc and a large assortment of juices, teas & coffees. Lunch and dinner: it was a pleasant experience too. The service of the staff: was excellent with very polite staff available to assist you in any in-house enquiries to suggestions for outdoor experiences. Location: location was value for money! Hotel in a small village, next to a large market center, a 14min drive to Salzburg Old Town and a 45min drive to the closest ski resort. We would definitely return to this gasthouse.

We spent a wonderful Christmas time in Salzburg. This beautiful boutique hotel was one of the best highlights of our trip. We booked two rooms and last minute we have to stay an extra night and they gratefully rebook us. From the front desk to the people at the restaurant were warm and friendly. I highly recommend the breakfast with savory and sweets selection. Caj, our server at breakfast was so warm and welcoming. We are very grateful and will definitely recommend it to everyone visiting Salzburg.

Located away from Salzburg and perched on a hilltop, the setting is as majestic as it is romantic! The church and its extraordinary interior, situated just above the hotel in the heart of a verdant park, offer a commanding view of Salzburg and its castle. Gasthof Maria-Plain is as beautiful inside as it is outside! Perfect!

As part of the accommodation, there is a large restaurant downstairs. The food is very tasty!!! The apricot dumplings are divine. There is a church next to it, the bells are not too disturbing. Beautiful view of Salzburg. Peaceful surroundings.

An amazing hotel, the service is great, the rooms are cozy, and the breakfast is delicious. It's a bit outside the city on some hill, so you better be with car or ready to walk a little bit to the nearest bus or s-bahn station, but it's worth every step, the view is just astonishing and the place is so quiet and picturesque.

The location of the hotel is amazing with a great view of Salzburg, near the forest for strolls during the day. A picturesque location to relax. The hotel has beautiful decor with meaningful history and the rooms are spacious and clean. It was like being part of the sound of music! We will certainly come back!

The location is not too far outside Salzburg but away from the busyness, parking for our motorcycles was easy and next to the hotel for free, though on the open street. There is a Chinese restaurant around the corner for an evening meal. The breakfast was good and overall it was OK for a 1 night stop over.
