The Blaue Rose is a high-quality, moderately priced hotel in the heart of the Alps. It is also brand new and run by a gentleman I have never met who showed me more care as a guest than I have received at 99 percent of the hotels I have booked in Europe over the past 45 years. The room perfectly fit my needs. The bed was comfortable, the bedding crisp, the shower, brand new, the silence outside was welcome (zero traffic noise), Feldkirch train station is within walking walking distance, and the path led through an idyllic Austrian mountain town, The design of the room was superior to the trendy and expensive boutique hotels I've stayed in in Manhattan, Berlin, and other cities. One judges the caring attitude of a hotel and its ownership and staff when things go wrong. I was very tired when I arrived and initially had a difficult time with the outsourced self-check in system and reported the issue. The hotel owner was so concerned with my problem that he thanked me for my comments, apologized profusely, and immediately upgraded the entire system to prevent future guests, including myself, from having to deal with similar issues. I visited Blaue Rose as an overnight before attending a meeting in Davos. I was happy to have had a place of serenity and a good night's sleep before dealing with the World Forum crowd. I will make a habit of visiting the Blaue Rose as a stop over between Vienna and Zug, Zurich, and other towns and cities of Switzerland.

Very nice and helpful staff in reception. Large room for 4 people, incl large bathroom. The sofa bed was like 2 real beds, very comfortable. Clean och modern. Amazing breakfast to add on in the bakery in the same building. Nice 10 minutes walk to the charming city in the evening, with lots of restaurants to chose from. Parking just outside the entrance.

The location of the hotel is great, literally at the train station, but also only a few steps from the old town/city centre. Style wise the hotel is contemporary and very comfortable. Our room was a decent size, and we got a few nights of very good sleep in the comfortable bed. The staff was very friendly and polite. Breakfast was good with a range of options, there should be something for everyone. We were pleased with the secure underground parking the hotel offers, which has easy access directly to the hotel by elevator. The hotel is also dog friendly and we had no issues staying with our two well-mannered dogs.

Quaint village that I wish I’d had more time to explore for walking and nature. We were looking for a local experience as we like to see how people in an area live. We were very happy with our choice to visit and enjoyed authentic Austrian cuisine and lodging while visiting.

I did not know anything about Feldkirch prior to my visit,...

I did not know anything about Feldkirch prior to my visit, other than that it was the westernmost train station in Austria I could travel to in order to get to Liechtenstein. Feldkirch has inventive and unique tourist brochures which really enhanced my stay and let me learn a lot about the city. The old town is very charming with a laid-back vibe (walkable from the train station), the hillside houses are very picturesque, and I enjoyed this city way more than I was expecting. I am glad I stayed overnight in Feldkirch to facilitate my trip to Liechtenstein. Now that I know more, I consider it worth a trip even without Vaduz on the itinerary.

Beautiful medieval center with old houses and plenty of restaurants, cafés. Endless shopping possibilities compared to the size of the town. Lively Saturday market. Very good public transport. Amazing surrounding. Perfect for a base and making excursions to the surrounding mountains, towns and countries.

I sort of randomly chose Feldkirch as an overnight...

I sort of randomly chose Feldkirch as an overnight destination on a recent trip and was left wanting to return. I admittedly didn't know much about the town and chose it as a convenient location for logistical needs, but was immediately charmed by its historical character and bountiful options for dining, bars and shopping.

I really enjoyed my stay here. I read complaints about the furniture being too old. I loved the style! In fact, i do appreciate much more this style than new metallic hotels :) I arrived in Feldkirch by train; location unbeatable! Reception very welcoming and no doubt I'll stay here next time in Feldkirch.

Very clean, tidy, tasteful room, and an extremely comfortable bed. Parking was essential on this trip and needed a non-standard size - and that wasn't a problem either, the hotel accommodated it.
