FAQs about hotels in Adelaide

Adelaide: Australia's Undiscovered Gem

Scratch the surface of Australia’s undiscovered gem with its blend of wonderful beaches, wide boulevards and extensive parklands including the Adelaide Botanic Garden. The City of Churches chimes to the beat during festival season with the Adelaide Festival of Arts, Adelaide Fringe and WOMADelaide.

The River Torrens flows through the city from the surrounding Mount Lofty Ranges. The Adelaide Hills features The Cleland Conservation Park that includes a wildlife park where you can pat koalas and Mount Lofty Summit with its panoramic views of the city. Hahndorf, with its German history, is another highlight.

The coast has some fantastic beaches. Historic Glenelg is Adelaide’s favourite local playground and further south are the wide open shores of Aldinga where you can drive your car on to the beach.

There are few better multicultural markets than the Adelaide Central Market or choose from a host of marvellous museums and art galleries, some having free entry. The picturesque and historic Adelaide Oval is a favourite for sports lovers.

Booking.com has accommodation in the city or visit surrounding areas like the Barossa Valley, Flinders Ranges and Kangaroo Island.

Previous experience of Adelaide was mainly as a place visited because of business necessity. This time it was to enjoy the Ashes test cricket and the CBD, and with the lovely weather encountered, both were excellent. There are plenty of good restaurants to suit all pockets and tastes (especially Italian!), and plenty of interest in the CBD and its surrounds to keep the mind active. People are very friendly to both internationals and "inter-staters". On top of all that, it is a truly beautiful city.

Adelaide is lovely relaxed city beautifully laid out with lots of green spaces and good transport. Glenelg is a very relaxing venue ideal for a few days to recover from the long flight and get acclimatised. Huge range of restaurants catering for all tastes and some were even reasonably priced!

Great little city. Lots of interesting things to see. Good museum, art gallery, State Library, gardens, parks and botanical garden and zoo. Port of Adelaide maritime, aviation and rail museums are excellent. Monarto zoo, Coorong and bird watching all good.

A wide variety of cafes and restaurants all serving delicious food at very good prices. A private tour to the McLaren Vale with a knowledgeable and personable guide was a highlight. The Monarto Safari Park is well worth visiting. A cruise on the Torrens River was very enjoyable and relaxing. The Adelaide Central Markets are not to be missed.

Lovely, easy walking city with lots to see. Historical but modern, great feel about it because of the numerous parks and mature trees. Very safe, heaps of places to eat. Free transportation bus loops. Easy access to other interesting destinations - wine, rivers, zoos etc.

Fantastic location. 5 minute walk from the major mall which includes all you could ask for retail, food, groceries and liquor wise. Close by a huge range of diverse restaurants amd eateries. Only 20 minutes from the airport and the really popular Glenelg beach. The apartment itself had more than we expected. Completely self contained unit with a full kitchen, washer and dryer. Comfortable beds. The house keeping was fantastic. Friendly staff. Around good place to stay in Adelaide CBD for cheap!

The Apartments are nicely designed, well spaced and well equipped. The hotel is perfectly located in north Adelaide in walking distance to Restaurants and even towards the city. A free shuttle bus near to the hotel takes you to downtown Adelaide and around the city. Very good experience - would definitely recommend and come again!

The cabin was comfortable and neat for our family of 5. Our 3 teens enjoyed the comfortable stay and homey feel of the place. Everything that we needed was already there, from utensils to comfy pillows and blankets. Plus! The location is accessible to CBD and beaches that we planned to visit in Adelaide.

If the price was $100 cheaper, would be a good budget hotel close to the eastern edge of the cbd
