I've stayed in 5 star hotels and they've failed to meet my expectations like this place did. The location is beautiful, the host is so kind and easy. The room was immaculately clean, big and the bathroom will be a place that lives on in my dreams. This has been by far my favourite and most memorable experience staying anywhere. I could not recommend this place enough and we will be coming back.

Everything about our stay at Maple Cottage exceeded expectations. The location is stunning, with views over the apple orchards, while the cabin is surrounded by grass and trees with a gorgeous courtyard out the back. Gerry, the host, has thought of everything one could want for a comfortable stay. There are many kitchen appliances, comfy sofas, nice shampoos in the shower, and soft, luxurious bedding. We also asked for a difficult breakfast (vegan/gluten free) and were provided with gluten free bread, vegan butter and cereal. Apples were left in the fridge to feed to the cows on the property, one of them a shaggy highland who ate out of our hands. We also ate one of the apples ourselves and it was delicious. Daffodils and camelias were left in vases around the place. Loved the whole experience🙏

I didn’t spend a time in Cygnet as I was visiting a friend,...

I didn’t spend a time in Cygnet as I was visiting a friend, but driving through I observed some lovely shops, a twice monthly Sunday market was well patronised, and I visited Ian Clare’s pottery studio across the road from the beautiful bay. I plan to return, so I’m looking forward to checking out the other shops and local sights.

Absolutely lovely. Ben and Sassy couldn't have been more welcoming. Clean room in a sweet homestead by the water, with a good kitchen and a cosy fire in the lounge for those cool tassie nights. Look out for the fairy wrens flitting about in the morning on the lawn. Cygnet has good facilities and fuel and is just a few Ks away. Ben runs a bikram studio on site if that's of interest to you, and there's a fire pit by the water for the evening.

Everything was exceptionally presented and every comfort was provided. Facilities were of a high standard and beautifully clean. The location close to some pretty bays and to Cygnet was a big plus. Beate was an excellent host.

We loved how comfortable the bed was. The lounge/diner/kitchenette was well stocked, and the breakfast supplies were good. The property is well positioned for travel to Bruny, Cygnet, and Huonville.
