We were warmly greeted by Jonathan upon arrival. Our host sent us detailed messages regarding the check in process, and where we should buy groceries and food. The house is clean and spacious. It has a kitchen with stovetop, microwave-conventional oven, nespresso coffee. We were glad to find the Weber BBQ on the backyard. We had our dinner right by a few pademelons, and various birds singing in the trees in and nearby the garden. The location is great, just off the Channel Highway, a short drive from Kettering Ferry Terminal (for Bruny Island), yet it's completely quiet and private. We could star gaze right from the house. There's a big tub in the bathroom. The heating lights in bathroom are excellent.

amazingly thoughtful designed cottage! So much character and talent went into crafting this home. It’s an amazing use of space. The plants and neutral tones with the wood really make you feel relaxed. The toilet is a composting toilet, and I’ll touch on how it didn’t smell at all- as some may be turned away by this. Thank you so much, will definitely be back!

The most beautiful place we have ever stayed in! Why would one stay anywhere else? A lot of thought is needed to achieve a result such as this. Thank you Judy and David, you definitely have achieved it with high quality master craftsmanship and attention to detail. You have made our memories of Tasmania and Kettering unforgettable. The lounge was awesome — really chill vibes. The whole place just feels peaceful. The atmosphere’s amazing, and since the hotel’s a bit out of the city, it’s got this relaxed, different kind of feel. Oh, and the brekkie was pretty good too.

The fireplace was amazing and well stocked with wood ready to go. The property was easy to get to but felt far away from everything in a peaceful, secluded way. The property had lots of wallabies and wildlife and was clean and stocked up with the basic kitchen staples. The beds were great and the cottage looked great.

Very nice little bungalow, well located on Bruny Island, close to Pingouins and other places of interest. Bungalow is well equipped, including breakfast ready in the fridge and expresso coffee machine as well as a well stocked cupboard with some small necessities helpful for cooking dinner. Very accommodating host!

Gary made us amazing breakfasts on both days. He also made a terrific afternoon tea. The rooms are great and the outside area fabulous. Great views and a fire pit as well. Recommend this place highly!

Gardners Bay is a quiet place for you the relax.

Gardners Bay is a quiet place for you the relax. From there you can slowly drive down to Geeveston. All drive all the way back to Hobart via all the little towns. Or take a ferry to go across to Bruni Island.

the view from the living areas was amazing, the service from...

the view from the living areas was amazing, the service from the host was much appreciated and the quality of the towels, linen, crockery etc was great. The basket of local goodies was a fabulous treat. close enough to Cygnet town for supplies or pub for a meal. We had delicious pastries from the bakery Poolish & Co and fabulous cake from The Bank.
