This was my very first long haul journey, From my home in Spain to UK / UK-Dubai / Dubai - Brisbane. To Ibis Brisbane. I was very nervous, particularly about staying in a hotel , arriving early hours of the morning alone as also my first stay in a hotel alone after losing my husband 4 years ago. When finally arriving, very stressed (see below) at around 2-3 am I was warmly welcomed by a really lovely smiling lady in reception who was really kind and who looked after me so pleasantly, she even brought me my toasted sandwich to my room although she had warned me that room serviced had ceased for the day. I felt very secure and was so relieved. The room was absolutely spotless and extremely comfortable. Very good value for money.

We arrived at the hotel exhausted and stressed after a failed landing in Sydney and diversion to Brisbane. We couldn't have picked a better place to recover and rethink our plans over the two nights we spent here. We were checked in by Joshua who despite being inundated with enquiries (hundreds of people in the same boat as us, we were so lucky to get the last room) was calm and sanguine about the situation, very generously listened to my sleep -deprived rantings and assured me there was wine in the mini bar. We had a great room, were looked after well, changes were seamlessly made to accommodate us spending two nights in the same room, the breakfast and dinner were good, all staff cheerful and helpful. We were very glad of the little pool too and even nipped in and out of central Brisbane for a change of scene, easy enough. We left the hotel feeling rested and taken care of. Highly recommended, especially for stressed out travellers in need of some TLC.

The property is freshly renovated and absolutely wonderful. It’s been renovated with purpose and comfort in mind. The lady at the reception was super accommodating, friendly, and wonderful to deal with. The accommodation is central to Nundah with bus stops and a train station near by. It was very quiet and perfect for me. Definitely will be staying again.
