Wonderful ski field and natural area to visit. Unfortunately horrendously expensive for everything. Food, drinks, lifts etc. The resort owners also have the majority of the accommodation under their umbrella and hence charge excessively. It no longer has a village feel. We have been going to Thredbo for well over 40 years! We love Thredbo, But the whole village could use a bit of “TLC”, positive vibes (flags, lights, plants, etc…)! Realise that it is a business, just wish that somehow it would be more “affordable”, especially much more flexibility with ski passes (an adult that simply wants to have a couple runs with his small children/ grandchildren needs to buy a full day pass…..learn from Japanese ski resorts that offer hourly passes, and so much more!).Guest review byYvesAustralia - 10.0

Thredbo is an idyllic snowy mountain village with a distinctly European feel. Food is delicious and great entertainment with little bands in bars and great Apres' Club DJs and atmosphere during winter season. It's nice and convenient to chair lifts and snowfields. Excellent free shuttle bus service and thredbo.com.au information on website and face to face. We came of the beginning of snow season.
We came of the beginning of snow season. So, the trip was easy and beautiful. The accommodation is still affordable as we went there a week before school holiday. Unfortunately we only stay there for 2 nights. We wish to stay there for at least 4 nights that will be great. We definitely will visit again in the future and stay much longer. Shuttle bus at the front door every 10 minutes, 5 minutes at peak ski times. Stairs go direct to Thredbo Village if you don't want to wait for the bus. It's a lovely place to stay with almost everything you need for a family ski holiday; it is warm, very roomy, has a drying room, easy access door code, dishwasher, laundry, parking, and is close to the ski lift.
