Very nice bed and breakfast, very close to the 3 country border point belgium netherlands germany. Very friendly host, even though it was the french part of belgium she could speak dutch. The room is very clean and big and has nice sauna facility IN the room (as indicated with the photos on booking). This is against payment but fair price per hour. Breakfast can be done by self service, kitchinette available. But the host is willing to serve breakfast against payment and this can be eaten in your own room. The BenB has its own intrance, spacious free parking in front of the door and consists of only 1 room, so very peacefull. Its very close to Aachen so the perfect affordable place to stay whenever doing a citytrip to Aachen.

The hosts are very friendly, kind and helpful. We even got treated to some home made pie upon checking out. There is a fireplace in the living room with everything you need to start it. Also there's everything you need in the kitchen to prepare and store food, a lot of kitchen utensils, pans, pots, knives, etc. We were here for the F1 SPA GP and it was a perfect choice.

We arrived at La Belle Maison by E-Bike and were greeted by the gracious host Dieter and his lovely wife. Dieter made sure our 2 Ebikes were stored in the garage and charged with electricity, after that we were offered a champagne and given a tour of the house. The property consists of a superbly restored farmhouse with parts of it that date back to the 15th century. Our room was beautiful and spacious with a very comfortable bed, we even had a stair that lead to an attic with couch and rocking chair, but we were so busy doing bike tours every day in the area that we didn’t use the upstairs space very often. That was also not needed since we were made to feel welcome in all the ground floor areas of the farmhouse. The view from the room was so nice, every morning we could see all the cars stopped in the road because a herd of cows had to cross from one field to the next, which was a very idyllic and picturesque view to wake up to. The breakfast was superb and very extensive with charcuterie plate and freshly baked croissants, yoghurt and scrambled eggs. We even got fresh apple juice from the farm. The best thing about La Belle Maison is the warm feeling we got all the time, like we were part of the family, after returning home from our bike rides through the fields and hills, having a glass of wine in front of the warm fireplace was the best after a long day. The countryside around La Belle Maison is so beautiful, with nature and fields and forests. The town centre is a 4 minute walk away with a nice restaurant right next to the church for lunch and dinner. We will certainly return to the valley of the Geul river and La Belle Maison to be cherished by Dieter and his wife once more. Wir kamen mit dem E-Bike im La Belle Maison und wurden vom liebenswürdigen Gastgeber Dieter und seiner lieben Frau begrüßt.
