It’s been about three months since my stay, so my memory of the hotel is a bit hazy. But one thing I’ll never forget is the wonderful lady at the reception. I arrived late in the evening, and although the kitchen was closed, she kindly offered me some food, which was a thoughtful gesture, and much appreciated after a long day of travel. Her warm attitude made a real difference and left a lasting impression.

Amazing mattress :) Very good shower with really hot water and great pressure. Very clean and cozy room. Staff is very helpfull, they provide us extra pillows and helped with printing plane tickets. Usually I rent a new place every time I visit the same city, but now I don't have to look any further in Sofia, I'll just book "B1" next time!

My husband recently had a one-night stay with his brother at Hotel Aurora Sofia. The room was spotlessly clean and well-maintained. Beyond that, the staff were exceptionally nice and accommodating. A special shout-out goes to the receptionist, Neda. My husband wasn't sure if they'd need to extend their stay for two more nights. They asked Neda if she could book a room for them for those additional days, with the understanding that they wouldn't pay upfront and would have free cancellation within a few hours until they finalized their decision. She was incredibly eager to help and arranged everything without hesitation. We are very thankful for her understanding and excellent service. Lastly, the breakfast was fantastic – very varied and incredibly tasty.

I did not know anything about Sofia but my companion suggested going there. I then looked up on the internet and found many things that would be of interest to me. We went to the synagogue, the mosque, the red flat, the sofia museum, many ruins. We found places to buy food since the apartment had a full kitchen we did not to eat in restaurants all the time. But there are plenty of places to eat as well. I never felt unsafe. Many people speak English but I was also prepared with a translator on my phone. That was useful when reading signs as not many of them have English. We really enjoyed the "old world" flavor of Sofia with the streetcars whizzing by. My one regret is that I did not buy tickets to the opera or ballet in advance and they were sold out when I got there.

Sofia was a very pleasant surprise.

Sofia was a very pleasant surprise. First of all, the airport is right next to the city (and you can take the metro to get into the city, paying with your bank or credit card). The city itself, really nice. Architecture (buildings, churches, museums) quite interesting. Prices are way more friendly than West Europe! (having been on France and Germany the days before arriving to Bulgaria, it was highly welcomed!). A lot of history (which is the main reason I got there). Transport works out fine (metro, buses, trolleys and trams). Overall, a great experience and a must-see city.

From our hotel the city was well within walking distance and the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful when we inquired about a particular day trip and the receptionist organised it all for us at no extra cost and they even provided a taxi to collect us from the airport on our arrival date .

Public transportation in the city is very convenient and cheap compared to other cities and very convenient from the airport to the city and back. The streets are clean and the residents are kind. The Hotel was right in the middle of the city, just 7' from the parliament of Bulgaria. The room was amazing, realy clean, organised and modern, equiped with the latest technology that every hotel should have (touchscreen for heating- do not disturb sign ect. The bed was confortable and there was a flat screen tv ready to be controlled through our smartphone, thus watching whatever we want through our acounts of netflix and yt. I recomend this hotel more than i have recomended any another!!!

The WiFi, tv and all other services from the reception and the staff were so helpful and so welcoming. All the reception staff (who were there all hours of the day) were lovely and welcoming and spoke good English, helpful when you speak no Bulgarian Check in and out were completely seamless, just hand over and hand back the keys Location of the hotel was great just a short walk to Sofia centre or get the tram from nearby stops, or the bus!

Great location! Very nice hotel. I'm looking forward to coming back! Very beautiful and comfy rooms. Easy to check in and perfect location. It is described as a self check-in, but there is a small reception with a person from 8am to 8pm, which is very convenient, especially if you don't speak Bulgarian. They were very helpful!
