Breakfast was simple but delicious and with a very nice presentation! We were searching a quiet place not too close from the movida of the city in Morro and in the 4th beach it's really quiet. The hotel offers free pick-up and free rides from/to the village (with a timetable) which has to be considered for reching the location, unless you really like to walk. The personal was very helpful and kind. Rooms comfortable and modern and I liked also the view to the pool in the middle of the complex. I really enjoyed our stay even if it was very short. Ah, I also suggest to make the trilha to Gamboa from the Pousada, it was nice and Gamboa is an highlight in the island for me <3

Everything was wonderful at Bencao. Every day we were greeted with smiling happy staff members who treated us with kindness and courtesy. Breakfast was amazing! and sometimes served on the beach under a fabulous tree. The onsite restaurant (Taberna Magica) provided over the top service and very tasty dishes. Both the hotel and taberna owners and their staff were very friendly, making us feel like part of the family. The location was optimal, within walking distance to town (20min+/-) and on a quiet stretch of the beach.

Mama Africa Hostel 2 is a beautiful and welcoming home with a vibrant colorful decor and a great vibe. Every detail is carefully curated, and you wake up to the sound of birds, surrounded by nature. Breakfast is fresh from the garden, and on weekends, it’s served at Casa da Cultura, where you can enjoy your meal while reading one of its many books. Lili is an amazing host, full of passionate energy and care. As a digital nomad, I found it perfect for work. Gamboa is a chill neighborhood with friendly people, great for a walk anytime. Its pristine beaches are within a short walk, or you can take the boat – balsa – to Morro de São Paulo anytime for 6 BRL. After a day out, I enjoyed a swim in the pool and stargazing at night.
