The staff were great and very accommodating. the rooms were great, lots of space, brand new and comfy beds. The bathrooms are nice and it was great to have actual Hot water. the breakfast was great with many options. loved the buffet lunch option too. My husband and I wished we had stayed at this hotel the whole time we were in Porto Alegre.

Brazil’s Southern Green Metropolis

Surrounded by 40 hills, the Guaíba Lake, and a unique ecosystem, Porto Alegre is the capital and largest city of the southern Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Sul. Founded in 1772 by settlers from the Azores Islands, it received a large European influx of immigrants, mainly from Germany and Italy. It holds Brazil’s highest life quality and literacy rates.

    Porto Alegre is a great city.

    Porto Alegre is a great city. It is nice to see that the areas affected by 2024 tragedy have been completed restored. Food is superb. The meat is specially superior to other places in Brazil. The parks are well maintained, downtown still has a comercial stance. I could find great food shops as well as fine restaurants in Mercado Público. The Guaíba margin contains a nice park besides restaurants and bars. Downtown has several historical buildings and bookshops.

    The historical city center it´s must see.

    The historical city center it´s must see. The Gaíba rive shore is amazing. Porto Alegre, like any other big city in the world, have itís problems, but the place deservs a visit, including the nearby cities of Gramado and Canela.

    Porto Alegre is a big city with a felling of small town.

    Porto Alegre is a big city with a felling of small town. Lots of green areas, parks and squares. The shopping malls are huge. The traffic is not bad, just avoid to go out at rush hour. The main food is bbq (gaucho stye) and has steakhouses all you can eat with a reasonable price everywhere around the city.

    Breakfast was above average. It's a 4 minute walk to Shoppig Total, and a 10 minute walk to Porto Alegre centre. Stall were helpful. After checkout, I had arrived at the airport and noticed I forgot 3 kilos of Portuguese sheep cheese in the fridge. The staff packaged it up nicely, and it was collected by Uber moto, so my cheese was saved! I also used the conference room, negotiations were easy to make.

    Room was spacious and nice, even if simple and a bit old. The view was amazing! The shower was good. Breakfast was nice. Location was easy to get to and the fact that there are stores, restaurants and supermarkets nearby is a plus. Parking was good and convenient. You have to leave the car keys with the hotel/parking staff.

    The breakfast was ample and the location for business perfect. After the floods I can understand the changes that the hotel has been going though but this did not have any problem with my stay. This is the second time I have stayed at the hotel and will do so again.
