Amazing architecture, well described and educational museums...
Amazing architecture, well described and educational museums, very nice polite people, pretty decent food and drink. You need about 4 days overall, to get to know the city, and possibly go back to the places you liked best (if that's your thing when you travel - it is for me). However, the religious thing does get a bit tiring, as does the noise level. Best part of town by a long stretch was Santo Antonio depois do Carmo, which is beyond the Pelourinho. Large room with good facilities and very comfortable bed and high quality bedding. The hotel is very clean and fairly new respectively renovated. Bathroom with good hot and cold shower and high quality towels. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The surrounding area is not very attractive but offers restaurants, supermarkets and the long beach of Pituba.
