CanadaQuiet country setting only 5 minutes from town with fewer guests for a homey atmosphere. The owners were on site and spent time talking to us about things to do and the history of the area. Michelle (the owner) thought of everything - water in the fridge, cups plates and napkins and cutlery, and mosquito repellant so we could sit outside at night, the treats from the local bakery were an added touch.
Would definitely stay there again.

CanadaEverything! The location and view is amazing. Great value for the money and strong Wi-Fi (which is not a small thing considering that most of the trail has very poor reception). The owners are great people who love what they do and it is apparent in all the small details that they have put into this place. For them it is a not just a business but a passion and it shows.

The host reached out via email and was always available if needed, though we never had to ask for anything because the amenities were outstanding. We especially appreciated the thoughtful touches – from coffee, dips, and basic essentials already provided, to the wonderful welcome gift waiting for us. It truly made us feel at home right away.
We had a great time and the location was excellent to explore Cape Breton, the Cabot Trail and go for a whale watching Trip. We wished, we could have stayed longer than two nights.

Good place to stay and enjoyed the view of the ocean from...
Good place to stay and enjoyed the view of the ocean from our porch. The rental had everything we needed to prepare a meal and shopping for food was enjoyable. We enjoyed a walk around the area taking pictures and a nice shop for gifts, ice cream and other goodies. Don't forget the pharmacy which surprisingly had nice gifts and everything needed for tolitetries.

We ate dinner at Le Gabriel Restaurant.
We ate dinner at Le Gabriel Restaurant. There was entertainment Sunday evening at the restaurant. A woman played the fiddle and a man accompanied her on a keyboard. They were excellent. Seafood prices are very high. The place was very busy and the food was good.
Getting around Cheticamp is easy. We enjoyed driving along the entire Cabot Trail on Cape Breton Island. The Cape Breton Highlands Provincial Park was closed because of high fire danger.

We love Cheticamp.
We love Cheticamp. The Dory for entertainment or the Gabriel for an outdoor beverage. Lots to see . Beautiful location watching the fishing boats! The Auberge Suites are great. Stayed there twice. And would stay again!

This charming village is a perfect location to explore west...
This charming village is a perfect location to explore west side of the Cabot Trail, among many the Skyline trail. There are several good restaurants (a bit $$) and a lovely Cafe (Marguerite). Like all over in Nova Scotia, people are welcoming and friendly.

Cheticamp is a cute town that is pretty small.
Cheticamp is a cute town that is pretty small. Try to find live fiddling music, which we did at Doryman's Pub. The area is also known for rug hooking and there are two shops that specialize in those products. There are a couple of cute restaurants that offer good food, the Seagull being one.

A number of good restaurants. Local people very helpful and friendly. Gorgeous area including many sites outside of the nearby National Park. Local sites include Gypsum Lake, Cheticamp Island ( causeway access). Harbour Restaurant and Seafood Stop good - plain and simple good Pizza - Pizza Shack - liked veggie explosion. Mr Chicken great for ice cream - only tried the ice cream - small was bigger than we expected. Abundant attractions beyond town.

The location is excellent, set well back from the road, and with fantastic views out to the front of the property. Good sized room, and spotlessly clean. Ample parking and outside seating to enjoy the evening sun. The staff were super friendly and helpful, and on request provided us with a kettle and the necessities to make tea/coffee in our room. We really enjoyed the breakfast too, it set us up for the day ahead, and our whale trip which was booked in Cheticamp following check out. Thank you. We would definitely stay here again....

We called the phone number upon arrival and Veronica met us to check us in. Great location, right on the harbour. The room was comfortable and they provided coffee and cream! We were in a lower suite and the guests above us were quiet. Sunset was lovely. We enjoyed the best meal of the trip at L'Abri. It is a must-go. Make a reservation or sit at the bar. Cheticamp is a wonderful place.

Cute and clean motel conveniently located in between Cheticamp and the National Park - a great base to enjoy local hiking. The room was comfortable with air conditioning, a bar fridge and a full bathroom. The Cheticamp River runs beside the motel providing a refreshing place to stroll and dip your feet (or even swim!) on a hot day! The owners were very friendly and helpful.

It was a lovely spot right in the heart of Cheticamp on the Cabot Trail. Close to restaurants, beaches, golf, whale watching, hiking. The kitchen was very spacious with everything needed, staff friendly, very clean cottage , good water pressure etc.
