The property was the perfect location for a family reunion. We all had ample space. We spent time to cook and the kitchen was well equipped. A lot of thought went into ensuring that everything was functional. Small things, like plenty of plates so that you do not have to wash up plates before using the next one. Spices were provided along with a lot of other complimentary food items. Hassy even left us a complimentary bottle of wine! Over the top really and not expected. The quality of the house was exceptional and way better than we were expecting! We run a lodge in northwest BC and know how much work goes into providing high quality service. Hassy is as good at it gets! Highly recommend.

The Kinsol Trestle and Malahat Skywalk are nearby and should be visited. Spectacle Lake is very close and great for short hikes. If driving to/from the Saanich Peninsula, take the small Brentwood Bay to Mill Bay BC ferry.

It's hard to answer this as Malahat refers to a stretch of...

It's hard to answer this as Malahat refers to a stretch of highway rather than a city or town but it was beautiful. The highway is quite busy most of the time and it's easy to miss your turn offs but there are a lot of U-turn areas as well. There are a few lovely natural areas/lakes/parks in the area that are great for hiking and enjoying. A vehicle is needed but it's only a half hour or less into Victoria as well.

We took the bedside lamp and put it on the kitchen table to...

We took the bedside lamp and put it on the kitchen table to see our food. Also, be careful with the blinds as they opened easily however, they got stuck when trying to lower them. Bring slippers, the floor isn't as clean and most of it is tile. Thank you

The view and room is amazing. This could be a premium hotel but it falls short in a few aspects that I’d expect for the price. It really has potential to be better so I hope they read reviews. Pros: - incredible view from all angles - tub with a view - 2 bathrooms in room - spacious - easy check-in - games, books, newspaper, snacks

We booked our stay due to the view which is absolutely stunning. A bonus was that the Malahat Chalet restaurant had recently opened so we ate there most of the time. The staff were very friendly and the food really good and reasonably priced. The suite we booked was very big,on 2 levels with great Wi-Fi and a small kitchenette.

Location is convenient for area and right off of highway. Bungalows are older/dated, but clean, well maintained, and obviously cared for by owners. It is a complete 1 bedroom and a nice change from a hotel room.

A wonderful hotel with fantastic views. Rooms are spacious and very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent but lunch and dinner menu a little restricted, but what was on offer was exquisite.
