The city should put strong police enforcement in place against loud motorcycles burning thru streets and along the main roadway. Annoying & dangerous.

Matane has the friendliest folks in the entire province.
Matane has the friendliest folks in the entire province. Most tourists just drive through but there are places for kids, restos for the whole family,a marina to enjoy, a cinema, big stores and small artisanal boutiques. There is a really neat walkway along the river and a well-designed access to the water and beaches. For the naturalist there is a place t watch salmon going upstream.

The main building as shown on the site is as promoted with pool bar and restaurant. However, they should make it clear that this is what you are not getting, if you are located in the adjacent building.

Location of this relatively new hotel is breathtaking. The restaurant had a wonderfully casual and friendly atmosphere. We didn’t make a reservation for dinner and there were no free tables for the next 1,5 hours. The hostess went above and beyond to resolve this situation and offered several solutions. We ended up just waiting a bit and it worth it. The lobster looked fantastic!

This hotel is like your old slippers...a bit worn but very comfortable. The rooms were a generous size and the view from the balcony was great. Breakfast in the dining room was worth the cost. It had a very Old World feel.

Hotel facilities were above average suite R114. Breakfast excellent,full range of cooked items, and open at 6AM
Location is at west end of town, quite a distance from the Centre, and further from the bus depot.
