Tranquil setting right on the river bank, fabulous views out over the Rheine. Staff attentive without being intrusive. The little touches such as the sun cream and bug spray on each well spaced table , it is on top of the river, were excellent. The restaurant was fantastic; a really worthwhile and enjoyable dining experience, tasty and exciting cuisine leaving one satisfied and happy. Breakfast was excellent, a fine selection of bread, cold cuts, fruit, yoghurt, cereals, fruit juices and hot drinks with hot food cooked to order. Good sized and comfortable rooms and bathrooms. Thoroughly recommended.

Self check-in was very convenient with clear instructions. The room was spotlessly clean. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we need for cooking. The coffee machine, toast and dessert were really pleasant for us.

We booked 2 rooms, both were exceptional. Very large, comfortable beds, clean with good facilities. Coffee machine, bottled water, radio, TV. They even supplied a USB multi charger which was very much appreciated as my UK adapter did not fit in the plug sockets. The bathroom was very clean and some lovely toiletries were supplied. Also a hairdryer with various settings. Unfortunately our flight was delayed which meant we would not be able to check in before 11pm at the US Mex restaurant (which was also fabulous) however I contacted the hotel and they put the key card in a lock box for us which we found easy to use.

Nice big room. Very comfortable beds. Staff were very welcoming. Some lovely touches make all the difference. Served us ice water on arrival on a hot summers day. Offered free sandwiches for your onward journey on departure.

Loft appartment: Very friendly and forthcoming owner, no question left unanswered, we felt very comfortable and got very useful tips on the location. The appartment stands out by its interesting design. Kids were amazed. Adult thrilled. One unique feature is the net up top where you can lay watching down at the living room. One word of warning is the attique bedroom is not suited for the older folks (as you have to climb up the ladder to access it). Otherwise the appt is fully equipped, we spent a great easter weekend in there and would for sure come again. Great for parties. Very good: Design, uniquness, amenities, location, kids loved it.

It was a peaceful suburb along the Rhine river 5 minutes drive from Schafhausen, an old historic city on the Rhine, which was fun to visit. One can walk and bike along the Rhine - very scenic. Also, we visited the Rheinfall and Laufen Castle, which is just spectacular - the whole Rhine river going over a falls - the largest in Europe.

Busingen am Hochrhein is an ideal place to relax and unwind.

Busingen am Hochrhein is an ideal place to relax and unwind. It lies amidst lush greenery next to the Rhine, where swimming is excellent. It's also an ideal base for visiting and admiring Schaffhausen, Stein am Rhein, and the other beautiful towns and villages of neighboring Switzerland.

This 300-year-old hotel, situated on the Upper Rhine, is a stunning and sophisticated gem. The comfortable rooms are also very inviting. And the chestnut garden is a relaxing oasis right on the water. The old Rhine mill is well worth a visit, and the price-performance ratio is excellent!

The romantic setting on the Rhine, populated by swans, coots, herons, and giant trout. The carefully crafted furnishings feature valuable pieces, Villeroy & Boch porcelain, and the historic herb conservatory. Excellent breakfast.

It has the advantage of being quite close to Schaffhausen, our actual destination (about 4 km). The restaurant is right on the banks of the Rhine, and the lunch/dinner/breakfast room overlooks the river with large windows; very charming!
