Location. It is great. I visited in beginning of October and it was easy to get there by public transport during that time (it might be different when snow covers the mountain pass). Tickets for some of the local cable cars were included and for some other ones I got a discount (I've used free cable cars only as I've stayed for one day and there was only that much I could visit). I would really encourage to walk around the lake that is down from the hotel as it is beautiful and the view from the dam is also great! Breakfast was very nice as well. One thing to keep in mind - hotel is high up (1900-2000 meters) and if you are not used to mountain hotels, you might have worse sleep quality, not because of the beds or something, but because air is thinner up there and your body need to adjust to that.

The Astoria Hotel is very nice and as I understand popular place for travelers not only on the car, but also for bike. They have a big parking spot, nice view to the mountains from balcony. Very clean and cozy room with comfortable beds. Very nice, helpful and friendly stuff.

Perfect in every way. The proprietors were very kind and looked after us well, amazing breakfast, good ski storage, waterproof mats for storing ski boots, comfy lounge area, good sized room with lovely balcony. We would definitely stay here again.

Relax and peace are the two words that best describe our stay at Lärchen Lodge. The owners are currently renovating the lodge, and both the restaurant and the hall are brand new and tastefully designed. Even the table setting is refined with beautiful cutlery. Our room was comfortable, with a lovely view of the mountains and the green landscape. To keep us company, a cow and her little calves were often grazing right in front of our window. The atmosphere is truly peaceful. The hosts are kind and welcoming people. To our surprise, the host is also an excellent chef. Breakfast included a good variety of options and delicious fresh bread. There’s a large private parking area, and the location is perfect for motorcyclists who plan to visit the famous mountain passes. We really enjoyed our stay here. You can clearly feel the hosts’ intention to build something meaningful and do their best every day. We wish you all the best – and thank you again!

A beautiful hotel, even if the weather is grim outside. They went above and beyond when my partner realised she’d left her sunglasses in the room and the hotel not only found them but posted them to us in the UK at no extra cost. A perfect stop for exploring the Grimsel and Furka passes, plus the hotel has a parking garage - useful for keeping your motorbike out of the elements over night. Exceptional dinner (reflected in the price, but worth it!) and lovely staff.

The surrounding mountains are epic and the Hospiz is indeed a relaxing and comfort hotel as everything is as you would expect from a mountain resort. Employees extremely accommodating and super friendly and the cuisine is exquisite just like a top restaurant in town. In particular to mention is the top service provided by the managing couple and a very nice lady from Bavaria, Eva. Really enjoyed the stay!

The hotel is beautiful, full of charm, and perfectly integrated into the natural surroundings. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and the staff was overall friendly. The interior has a lot of character, which made the stay very pleasant.
