Beautiful hilltop medieval town with so-so castle, great views, ambiance, a great cheese manufacturing tour, some lovely hotels, a Tibetan museum, and a museum of the works of the disturbed anti-human artist HR Giger. If you are into easy-moderate hiking, the Callier chocolate factory, or the nearby towns (Broc or Moreson) Mt., it will be worth more than one day. Great location, easy parking. The room was clean. The room was clearly the worst room in the hotel, facing the parking lot so it was extremely loud, when the cars were leaving. It seemed like the room had 0 sound isolation, we could hear everything. The staff was not very friendly and clearly did not care for us as guests, I needed to ask extra times for information about what to do and see around. We had a room on the top floor which was much larger than we anticipated with lots of space, a kettle, coffee, a television and a lovely little bathroom. Not to mention a beautiful view from the skylight windows. The walk from the station short but uphill, there is an option to take bus from the station, which takes oneself directly to the hotel. The staff was ultra friendly and very helpful, we needed some tickets for a special event at the Giger Museum and they organized them for us to assure we wont face a sold out or have to do a line at the Museum, was a very nice detail from them.
