Location was perfect. Best area on the island. Stunning beach, safe swimming, great snorkelling. The villas are very spacious and solid. I had been worried about noise as shared walls but none at all. Breakfast was delicious and loads to eat. Host/staff attentive but not obtrusive. Very relaxing break.

I advice people to rent a car or a scooter if they can afford it. If you plan to use the bus, a ten trip ticket costs $35, or $5 for a single trip. Friendliness of the people of Rarotonga certainly made our stay even better. We ventured down to the local RSA and were warmly welcomed. The markets are everything you hear about -totally worthy of at least two trips We found the dogs pretty friendly but best to avoid going up backroads where they are quite possessive of their properties (fair enough) The roosters of course come with the island and so be prepared for early morning wake-ups!! The amount of terrific food joints is like HEAVEN! There is a wide variety along the roadsides and in town. The beaches are great and safe in the lagoon. Excellent day trips on Koka Lagoon tours (highly recommended) and terrific Cultural night at Te Vara Nui Village. We were there for Vaka Eiva race event where my son was paddling; this was absolutely a place to be - down at Trader Jacks when crew would start & finish their races! Another note -PLEASE be kind to the dogs - Rarotonga people care for them very much ANOTHER note - Rarotongan Bakery near the Oasis garage is TOP~~

We love to swim and snorkel at Rarotonga. Muri beach and around Black Rock was the best snorkelling areas. We love the culture evening and bbq buffet at On The Beach Restaurant as well as a romantic dinner at Little Polynesian Restaurant. Muri night market was also a highlight to buy special dishes from 5 - 8 pm. We were very happy renting a car from Raro Cars for our 5 days stay. It is easy to get around Rarotonga as it is only 32 km.

We are revisiting Rarotonga after 20 years .. a lot the same .. a lot has changed ! Just four days on Rarotonga itself .. and now In Aitutaki .. more on that anon ! SO relaxing .. kick down a few gears .. and just enjoy .. the island culture .. the white sands, blue sea .. awesome temperatures ... Weather - mostly ok .. Nov, not so much .. but still managed a tan ! Highly recommended for a place to come, read a book, do whatever rocks your boat .. great food .. and absolutely lovely people !!

Continental breakfast was good with lots of fresh fruit and baked good. A few more savoury dishes would have been good though. Our room was newly renovated and it was clean and comfortable. The restaurant food was tasty and reasonably priced. The snorkeling is good at the resort but the waves can be a bit rough. The New Year's Eve cultural show was excellent with fire dancers, traditional dancers and live music. The sunset views are some of the best on Rarotonga.

Complimentary shuttle service including with keys for room. This location in Rarotonga is one of the best if you don't have a vehicle, as there is SO much/everything you need in close proximity. Great to have the use of paddle boards etc. It is a super quiet resort without a restaurant or bar, but you can go to any others nearby.
