We have stayed in about 12 hotels whilst in Colombia and this is by far the best. Glorious location, newly built or refurbished, fluffy towels, big rooms, quality breakfast and plumbing that WORKS!! Beautiful property in Barichara with a wonderful walled garden to relax. The host is very friendly and helpful and always wears a smile. Breakfast was also delicious. One of our favourite accommodations that we have stayed in during our 5 month backpacking trip in South America. Extra bonus points for the chess board available for use by guests!

Loved this hotel, great place to stay. The hotel building is really beautiful with some lovely art and brick work. The pool is small but big enough for a couple of families to enjoy at once. The breakfast was delicious and made with such care from the staff. Bedroom was really big and shower was great, hot water. Would stay again!

Everything. What a beautiful house, a bit outside the village but Alejandra or her husband will help you to call a tuk-tuk for the trajects. It is calm and peaceful. Lots of birds and flowers. Good homemade breakfast... We loved it !

Stayed 4 nights here and it was like being in paradise. Staff was exceeptional and the view from our room was like being in a movie. We had to walk 10 minutes to town which we enjoyed. Barichara was our favorite stop so far in Colombia and this was agreat spot. Only thing was our chicken on the first night was undercooked and we had to discuss with restaurant manager as we did not want to pay for a meal that we did not eat and were stressed about being sick. The reataurant chef took full responsability and in the end they did not charge us for the plate. We left a good tip

    Great and authentic colonial village. Ideal to walk through the streets and browse the different shops. has lots of amenities for tourists, such as electric tuc-tucs for those who don't want to walk the steep streets, but is a lively and living rural Colombian village and you get in touch with locals easily. Arts museum is wonderful, the camino real was too wet for me to walk it all the way.

    It's a very nice and safe colonial town in a very pretty...

    It's a very nice and safe colonial town in a very pretty area to be in. There are plenty of activities to do in the area and something for everyone. The food is good here but that's all of south America. Goat cheese and coffee seem to be the big items in this area. You can take a nice nature walk called the camino real to a smaller version of barichara called guane. The trail that town is mostly down hill, and you can shorten the walk even more by taking a taxi to a place out of town where the trail crosses the road. The views are very good and the birds and butterflies are everywhere. A bus leaves guane every 45 minutes back.to barichara. Plenty of adventure tours and more cultural tours like food, and coffee tours. Nice place to be in colombia.

    My favourite town in Colombia, I was supposed to stay 2 nights but added 2 more and could have stayed longer as well. The town is beautiful, people are very nice and welcoming, many amazing restaurants with veggie options as well, and plenty activities to do in the surrounding area.

    Barichara is a hidden gem, one of my favorite towns in...

    Barichara is a hidden gem, one of my favorite towns in Colombia! It is a bit difficult to get to (being a 3.5 hour drive from the nearest airport in Bucaramanga), but once you are there is is divine! So clear, well-maintained, safe! There is lots to do, from hiking the Camino Real to various extreme sport excursions (paragliding, canyoning, white water rafting, etc.). But you could also just relax and meander through this charming town which feels like it is from another century. There are so many amazing restaurants, and the service is top-notch. We have visited Barichara twice now and would love to come again.

    Everything was great about this trip, I drove there all the way from Bogota the views are spectacular i would do it again I would highly recommend the area + hotel people friendly only one bad thing......nobody.s fault but I lost my wallet with I.D AND DRIVER LICENSE

    it was an excellent new experience in a Glampin. The city of Barichara is one of the most beautiful I have seen in Latin America, the Hotel Nativo Glamplin is excellent, the weather fantastic the food... the only negative issue, more than 7 hours by car from Bogota.

    Beautiful home, very well kept and managed by the lovely owner and cleaning lady who were super helpful and friendly throughout my time. Fantastic value for money, I was there during low season so even with other guests it often felt like I had the place to myself. Really well equipped kitchen, and comfy lounge areas including a lovely little terrace. Booked for two nights and ended up staying almost a week. A bit out of town but a short walk that was totally worth if for what you get. Definitely recommend!

    Pretty hotel in a quiet location about 5 minutes' walk from Parque Principal. Welcoming staff, good communication before my stay. Lovely area for relaxing around the swimming pool. Excellent breakfast. Barichara is charming and not to be missed. Likewise Milana Café for some of the best coffee in Colombia, set in a stylish courtyard. Finally, the walk to Guane is great and not difficult, takes about 2 hours.
