The location in the park was perfect. It was very peaceful and relaxing especially in the morning and evening when the day trippers were gone! The outdoor bathroom was great! The bed was very comfortable and the fan provided the perfect amount of cool fresh air for sleeping!

The Hotel is located in the Forest literally with no other properties around it. So it gives you a lot of Privacy. I had an amazing relaxing time in a beautiful bungalow. Everything was so exotic! Complete immersion into Nature! The Hosts Andrea and Orlando are so warm and beautiful people! We had amazing conversation and I really felt like home!💚💚💚

The place is an absolute paradise. It is a place to relax, surrounded by nature. The big garden has a lot of animals (peacocks, ducks) which walk freely. Plus the birds, parrots, humming birds, ravens. A big plus is the pool. All the people we interacted with were very kind and helpful. During our 2 months trip in South America this was the nicest place we stayed. The place is walking distance to the Calabazo entrance for accessing Tayrona Park. If we knew the place is so nice, we would have extended our stay

We were 4 friends travelling for 3 nights. Everything has surpassed our expectations. As it was rainy season, we had the hotel for ourselves but Miguel (who was in reception and bar duties) was incredibly helpful, let us use the amenities as if it was high season, we could even put our own music at the pool. Milagros made sure that our breakfast and dinner was always on point and even when we asked to slightly change the menu, she was more than helpful to accommodate our requests. Overall, we couldn't be happier to have chosen La Casablanca Tayrona and will be sure to return whenever we go back there!

Super beautiful treehouse in the nature, but still close to the calabazo village and Tayrona entry, nice swimming pool and a really good place to relax! Felipe is very nice and accommodating. He provided good instructions and it was easy to reach.

I had a true jungle experience living in the authentic cabin on top of the hill. I loved falling asleep in the modern facilities to the sounds of the jungle. When I woke up, I turned on Spotify on the speakers, opened the doors to see the first rays of sun, watched the view of the jungle hills, and took a dip in my private pool. For breakfast, Natalia, the chef, made me an excellent omelette with fresh local avocado and fruit. Thomas, the owner, is super hospitable and joined me for breakfast. Thomas even invited me to spearfish with him. We drove Thomas' jeep over the wooden bridge and down to the beach, where we met a local fisherman and his 10 year old son. The fisherman took us out to a shipwreck, where we swam with Manta Rays and tried to spear some Barracudas. We caught a fish that we gave to the kid. Later, I went for a hike up the road behind the resort. It took me up 500 meters of altitude through the jungle and I had an amazing view of the sea. 4 pozos is great, and I cannot recommend it enough.

It's just a small collection of buildings along a highway...

It's just a small collection of buildings along a highway with major transport vehicles, and all restaurants are open air along the highway. Rather depressing, and not a good spot to get food/snacks for backpacking into the park. Though we were able to get cash from one of the stores, they charged us an 11% fee. As an adventurous person who likes to avoid crowds in national parks, I thought the Calabazo entrance would've been a great way to see the park & wildlife, but it wasn't really worth it. We exited through the Zaino entrance & preferred the accommodations & hiking paths found there. In low season (Nov 27 & 28th) there weren't all that many people anyway.

In general, the online description of the trail is not...

In general, the online description of the trail is not accurate. You are crossing a mountain range.... steep ups and downs followed by a steep down to the resort. Trails are not to U.S./Canada standards especially when one adds in the fact that horse/burrow traffic is a necessity for supplies. Hope for no precipitation.
